Lovren had the balls to take a penalty. Where was Sterling and Studge.
Who was picking Lovren up at the end? Emre Can that's who. Let's get him in as next Liverpool captain

Well sterling is rubbish at pens, and Sturridge was off
you cant blame Lovren. He had the guts to step up atleast
There is no club in world football which has a worse transfer record than Liverpool over the last 10 years in my opinion. Lovren is just the latest "hype" buy. Do you even have a scouting system. Southampton must be laughing their heads off selling their worst (and overhyped) players to you boys for millions.

Ha ha ha that's a great point regarding Studge. And the same point I argued in the pub......I am going to blame it on drink. Perhaps a point poorly made. I will reiterate that, at least Lovren had the balls to step up.
I'm not a fan of his but I respect 'his balls'.

I agree. We have been bad but not that bad. I would even argue that the United's summer transfers have been worse than ours.
Lovren has been utterly inept. Even when he comes on as a sub you know he'll be booked within a few minutes
He can't win clean headers under challenge, struggles to control & pass the ball and his positioning is dreadful
£20 million well spent
