A few of them are lucky not to have been dropped to the bench today, Giroud, Ozil, Gibbs to name but 3.
Interesting (and in my opinion) correct team selection from Wenger. Mertesacker has looked off the pace for the past month and in desperate need of a break.
Not a bif surprise when you look at how many games he's played already this season
It's refreshing to see Wenger come out and make the changes that people think he actually needed to make for once. Only thing about that team I would have picked differently would be Monreal in for Gibbs.
I'm genuinely shocked that Wenger had the gonads to drop Per (correctly may add).
Got the Chamberlain call correct as well. Decent bench as well.
Would have dropped Ospina

Would be too risky and suicidal to drop everyone even though that's what they all deserved.
I wouldn't drop giroud or Ozil. They've actually been in good form apart from the monaco game
I would have dropped Ospina, Mertesacker, Giroud and Gibbs. Why the hell did he drop Danny and not Olivier?
Very pacey back 4 all of them are quick
Danny's garbage every game whereas Giroud just had one off day

Agree with Gibbs and in two minds about Ospina, but I think it's the right decision to keep Giroud on - he tends to be very reliant on his own self-confidence and if you drop him it only ensures that he'll take longer to get over the crap performance he put in against Monaco. As for Welbeck I'd wager it's mainly to do with the Ox playing well and the fact that playing Welbeck and Bellerin on the same flank has proven to be suicidal.
Giroud has been in good form. Doesn't deserve to be dropped just yet. Every striker will have a game where they miss chances now and again. Unlike mertersaker who's been poor for a while now, he deserves to be dropped. Also giroud has been more of goal threat than welbeck
I've noticed in the few recent games Gibbs has had that he's improved his end product in the attacking third.
Well worth giving him another run out today
Glad Mertesacker has been dropped today. Would've preferred Monreal back in the team today though.
Gird may miss opportunites but he helps create them...Danny doesn't have clue how to play the striking role.
Tough match to start for Gabriel, best of luck to him
And AGUERRROOO did not score my ff
Against Monaco, Welbeck was a large part of the problem since he kept coming inside and congesting the game instead of holding wide and spreading their defence.
Of course, that wasn't helped by Mertesacker, Giroud and Ozil playing so badly
We now desperately need to win this game if Liverpool hold on.
Good team on paper, I think. I prefer Gibbs to Monreal in this match, because in Mirallas (and Lennon) Everton have two very good dribblers to attack us down that side. As intelligent as Monreal is, he's not the quickest, and tends to struggle when faced with a direct wideman - as Zaha showed, or even Lennon back when Monreal first joined us.
I think I would have preferred Welbeck to Giroud in this match, however. Martinez likes his CBs to push forward and split, which leaves a lot of space for someone quick like Welbeck to exploit - hopefully, Chamberlain can provide some running over the top.
Hopefully, with Gabriel in the side, we can start to push for a high-line, which we've missed this season, IMO.
This game just became a must-win for us
We need to get an early goal today, especially after Liverpool's win today. Can't afford to lose. Simple.
