Interestingly I heard some analysis of the game which suggested the accrediting of deflected goals may be more liberal in the cup and it should be considered a Costa goal where as had the same goal been scored in the league it would gone down as an OG.
In Carling cup the team decides who will have the goal in his name. Heard it yesterday
