I think the problem is we, me included, focus too much on individual head to heads like Cazorla vs Ozil, Arteta vs Coquelin, Walcott vs Welbeck and so on, and fail to look at the balance of the team as a whole.
To me, no matter what three of our midfielders we choose for the three middle slots, we just don't have enough power in there. Without more height and power in the middle I honestly believe we'll never get anywhere - it will be a constant case of when we play well, we're excellent, when we're poor we'll lose.
It's this a joke. Cazorla is first on the team sheet when fit. Our most creative player even from deep. Does the defensive side of things too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cazorla is not Arsenal's most creative player, Ozil is (by far). He doesn't do much defensively at all, even less than Ozil, but for some reason people don't call him out on it.
Ramsey is one of five guaranteed starters (along with Alexis, Ozil, Koscielny & Debuchy). His engine is excellent, tacking is good, and he's relatively quick. Cazorla's a midget who can't tackle at all or run box-to-box. Ramsey scores & assists more as well, so it's not even a close call.

Cazorla is certainly more effective than Ozil in the attacking / defensive balance he affords the team. If the spainard has to move further upfield , Ozil moves out to the left or is benched; simple as that.
And why is Ramsey a guaranteed starter. He has been awful for the majority of the season . You can talk about engine all you like but if you can't effectively control the ball and make five yard passes, you deserve no place in the team.
It's unfortunate Wilsehe had this set back as he would be my preferred choice to partner Coquelin.
I find it hilarious when fans construct an arsenal 11 if everyone is fit and Cazorla is not in it

To be fair is if santi didn't take pen he would be lacking a lot in the end product department
Keep the midfield three as it is - it's working very well, IMO.
That being said, if any of them are tired, this is a perfect opportunity for a bit of rotation.
The main problem is the balance up-front. Welbeck isn't a wing-forward, Chamberlain was drifting far too central (seemingly to open up a path for Bellerin), and Sanchez always likes the ball to feet so that he can drift in from the left. I think we should either bring Walcott in or move Welbeck into a central striking position.
Ozil and cazorla in mf will not work against the better teams.
Against Man U, I will drop Ozil for Ramsey. Ozil will get overun as usual in that type of game
Coquelin-Ramsey
Ox-Cazorla-Sanchez
Giroud
This should be the team.
You could swap Cazorla for Ozil
You could swap Ox for Welbeck.
The rest should be permanent imo.
Might I add we would also have Rosicky and Walcott on the bench which gives us options in the second half.
There's no way Ramsey should start. He isn't match fit, its as simple as that.
I expect Sanchez, Giroud and Welbeck to be the front 3. Perhaps we will see Rosicky replace Ozil to join Coq and Cazorla in midfield. Or vise versa with Cazorla being given a rest.
The way we defend will be key against United. Szczesny will start, hopefully Bellerin and Gabriel also get a place, although I expect to see Chambers and Mertesacker unfortunately.
All of our options should be able to beat United. We just seem to bottle it every facking time.
The only player who we should consider dropping for Ramsey is Ozil.
Alexis and Chamberlain must start every week, no doubt about that. Cazorla is our form player so can't be dropped. Ramsey is better from deep than Ozil and Cazorla is a better #10 than Ozil so it makes most sense to drop Ozil.
That being said, Ramsey has been shít for 90% of the season and shouldn't start. I'm looking forward to Wilshere's return far more than Ramsey's.
Theo and Rambo in . Ozil and Sanchez benched.
"Cazorla is a better #10 than Ozil so it makes most sense to drop Ozil."
Is he actually, though?
Tomorrow I would go;
Sczezney
Bellerin Kos Gabriel Monreal
Coq
Theo Ramsey Cazorla Ozil
Welbz
Szczesny in goal tomorrow? No chance.
Ramsey should play. Santi is great going forward but does not have the presence to be effective enough defensively. Ramsey will probably need a few games to start trying to get sharp again but I hope once he does he hits a bit of form. Ramsey and Coq formed the CM partnership (in a 4-2-3-1) instrumental in beating City and could prove to be the foundation we can build success on....if Wenger doesn't fack it up.
We played 4-1-4-1 vs City and Ramsey was our weakest player. Cazorla put a 11/10 performance in the match, 10 for his own performance and an extra point for being able to carry Ramsey in midfield alongside him.
I think the most likely result will be Alexis dropped (he's looked tired of late) and Ozil pushed out to the wing with Cazorla moving up into the #10 role and one of Ox/Theo on the other wing. In the unlikely event that we have all of them fit and on form at the same time I imagine it'd either be Cazorla or the Ox to make way, but whether that will actually happen before Cazorla's age starts to show I have no idea.
Alexis won't be dropped. Wenger will play him until he can't run anymore.
If we go to United with Ozil Santi Coq we'll get over run. Ramsey has to start, preferably at the expense of Ozil.
I'd be happy with
Shez
Bellerin Gabriel kos gibbs
Coq Ramsey
Sanchez santi welbz
Giroud
Kos ramsey giroud Sanchez ozil are the first names on the teamsheet
