United will always value English players.
Arsenal have a good English core as well so not sure why you've left them out.
In the last 12 months Gibbs, Chambers, Wilshere, Welbeck and Chamberlain have all started for England, with Walcott also being included in a squad despite being injured.
Further English youngsters Maitland-Niles, Akpom, O'Conner and Hayden have all appeared for the first team.
Guess the OP doesn't think Arsenal are a top team... Because we are definitely doing our bit.
Yeah Arsenal are one of the first teams I'd think of when it comes to the England side.
I don't really need to list the English players we've had either play for the national team or played in the first team in recent times.
Don't be surprised if we snap up Clyne, Stones and Barkley in the near future either. United and Arsenal are sides that have and always will do their bit for the national team.

I apologise to any Arsenal fans who think ive missed them out, they also put an emphasis on young english talent, I would put Welbeck, Walcott, Wilshere and Ox as established English talent as they already feature regularly for England. But yes they also run their club well, other mentions go to Southampton and Everton. This article wasn't meant to offend but raise the point about cash clubs don't invest in young english talent

I was talking more recently, ofcourse we can talk about utd and the class of 92 Rooney, Rio etc but since the end of Fergies rein you've spent money to catch up with the cash clubs, Shaw exempt..... and go on to sell Welbeck and Zaha
We've also given debuts to Blackett and Lingard and given games to Wilson.
They may not make it, of course, but the two you mentioned didn't either.
But I'm sure we will continue to try and find the best English talent and promote what we have in our ranks. Hopefully the talent will be there to truly make it both club and country.
with such young talent coming through our ranks as Kane, Townsend, Rose, Walker, Mason and Dier,
Being a bit reckless with the word talent there
Man United have lost there identity
i am not a fan of long winded articles but this is a great one
An excellent article
Shaw
Smalling
Jones
Young
Blackett
Carrick
Rooney
Evil heathens
The very fact that Smalling, Young and Jones feature for our national side just shows where we are in world football at the moment.
