Five cups of Bovril from me!
Didn't Danny Ward cost Town nearly a million pounds from Bolton? £800,000 comes to mind, not worth it!
I agree, Town have to show willing at home and put a performance on. I'm going for a three one win to Town. I'd be surprised and miffed if Rotherham won.
A good read Wakey, 5 from me.
I should imagine both Hunt and Ward will want to show us what we're missing and I wouldn't be surprised to see Ward score. I'm glad Hammill can't play against us cos always liked him, despite his alleged problems.
I really don't like Steve Evans, find him sleazy (without any evidence) for some reason,
I think we'll turn it on this Saturday and come away with a 3-1 win and 3 precious points.
Rotherham have signed defender Daniel Lafferty on loan from Burnley.
I thought Powell said we would be busy when the loan window opened?
Great read Wakey,and it's appreciated.
Contemplating going on Saturday, but I probably won't. If we lose, we're in deep dodoo.
Going for a solid 2-0 win
took me a sec to get the Jabba the Hut line, but that is class
5 fray bentos gut busters towards Jabba's elevenses from me
Top man wakey
Like hydy i was deffo going to this one before the last two embarrasing results...cat a game 30 quid in plus 15 quid fuel...shall i?....shall i chuff it will be oggy n mixlr for me,and judging by the amount of listeners we had last saturday 75..everyone else is fed up too
I still think i will get a season card this time for next season though on the 10months interest free deal...after all its next season we are going for it?
Danny ward is bound to play a blinder and score a goal/winner so im going for a 2-0 defeat
Danny Ward has less talent than a donkeys c-ck. Which should still be enough to ensure he scores against our defence.
1-1.
A few quotes from Jabba this afternoon.
SE: “Morgs is 50/50. With the prognosis he might not make Saturday. Do we take the chance? If he's 95%, absolutely. We want our captain.”
SE: “It's been formally agreed that Adam Hammill can't play against his parent club.” #rufc
SE: “Huddersfield bought Danny Ward for a lot of money from Bolton. He still thinks very highly of a lot of the players there.”
SE: “Jack Hunt is another player really looking forward to go back. It's a good football club that treats people right.” #rufc
SE: “These players will be aware of certain things that might happen in a game. I've asked them if they can help.”
SE: “I've got a lot of respect for Chris Powell. They're a well-organised side but they've suffered a couple of heavy defeats recently.”
SE: “They're a team that have been purposely strong at home. They're big and strong at the back and that gives you a base to win matches.”
SE: “We owe our supporters a result. There will be a lot of fans there with it only being an hour or so away.” #rufc
Cracking read....
What to make of the coming weekend...
Danny ward to score is almost a certainty.
Jack hunt will not be given any space to roam.
Going for a town win, but only just!!
Couple of thing in the CP comments that makes me think nothing to change on the personnel front between now and next season
CP: "there's no major overhaul needed here; we have the basis of a good @SkyBetChamp side. We do need to build on some aspects though"
CP "we have to get points for this season; we're not relying on others failing. We also wuant to build momentum for next season"
Both comments make me think we will get the same drivel in the season card renewal packs. That we aren't going to 'build' a team, that we are going to work on the existing squad.
No signings of worth, more deadwood to leave.
The club seems more interested in the commercial / hospitality side of things, rather than the fans that have, and continue to, turn up week in week out.
To the point where they are hiring private boxes in the FM stand to opposing fans.
If I see anything different in the letter accompanying the renewal pack, I will eat my words, but I doubt it...
Vodka required..... Bad day!!!
1-0 Town... Good read wakey.....
Lee Mack is brilliant @ darts!
Anyone else watching the comic relief darts?
Nope watching the pacific again on showbox
What's that?
I'm watching walking dead @ the mo, just going onto to season 5.
I Googled it. A war miniseries.
Lee Mack was brilliant, Tim Vine is very good too......
Someone on DATM (I like to read it, but the negativity and personal insults are unbelievable) suggests playing Coady at centre back if Lynch isn't fit. Thoughts?
Should have been done ages ago. That's why he was bought, for his "versatility"
I'd sooner play Rod Wallace than Murray Wallace if I'm honest.
Just seen that Sean St Ledger has signed for Orlando City, really think he would have done well for us.
I've just read that too. It's part of my morning ritual. BBC gossip.
No problem having Coady at CB, he's looked decent when he's dropped in there before.
Have a feeling injuries will force Powells hand tomorrow.
Wells,Lynch and Robinson are all doubts.
We may have to go attacking purely because of the lack of left sided defenders (Carroll isn't good enough)
So in light of that
Smithies
Smith,Hudson,Wallace(I know but he's better than Carroll)
Hogg,Coady
Scannell,Butterfield,Bunn
Vaughan and Miller
A kind of 3232, 3 centre backs, 2 midfielders protecting the back 3. Scannell and Bunn on the wings with Butterfield allowed to drive on with Miller and Vaughan leading the line
It's easy this management lark
Morning all
UTG, when CP mentioned being busy during the loan transfer window he meant that hes recently taken up an interest in gardening and he will be down the allotment a lot so no time to be calling agents.
I am really looking forward to the game as its the first I have been able to go to for what seems like ages! I reckon we will win 2-1. I think Ward may score for them but reckon we will try to crown Jack Hunt out to stop his speedy runs.
Hopefully we can get 3 points and all have a good day out in the "heatwave" that's coming!
Just seen the Giants are playing at the John Smiths tonight. Thought they used to be at home alternate weeks to us?
Disgraceful!
The sooner they are back on L**ds Road playing fields............ the better...........
Bournemouth have hammered Fulham 5-1. Keeps Fulham below us which is good.
