Articles like this, with the "Of course, that won't get any coverage" quote thrown in, sort of remind me of a guy pestering his girl 24/7 about cheating and him becoming a self righteous plum when she goes out and does it.

Jose's commanded enough respect in this country, and is charming enough if channelled correctly, to have the media waxing lyrical about us at the snap of his fingers - Ferguson at United style. Instead he chooses to play this Marta over and over again. Not that I'm complaining par say, it's hilarious to watch, but the way fans of his teams (bar Madrid fans for the most part) constantly buy it as fact is truly incredible.

Anybody bothered to realise the media largely left us alone with Grant, Hiddink & Carlo in charge and battered us with AVB, Benitez & Mourinho? If you make noise, you get heard

I don't remember the media leaving us alone during Carlo's time. In his first season we had that Kakuta scandal that got blown out of all proportion. It was the leading news story on Sky News ffs and that story got dragged on for weeks if not months.

Then in Carlo's second season we had the media going into overdrive about Wilkins being sacked. Such a big thing was made about that in the media and again was dragged out for months. Our season never really recovered from it and Carlo's was sacked.
