Can we really be going to have a better second half?
Everything crossed.
A win would be too much to expect?

I agree totally Canadian, we need to go for the win not hang on for the draw. We need to attack as much as we ca,

You can't say we didn't try for the winner, City have to thank David James for two great saves to stop us taking the lead. At least we got the point going forward rather than shutting up shop.

Good stuff in the end. Scrappy for the first hour but after the penalty we got it togther.

The stats are well in our favour, especially the individual player stats.

James saves them in the end.

Thats what he is paid for

Very true Bally - But its nice he's had to earn it today.

After the missed penalty I thought we were done for but it seemed to energize the side and for most of the second half we played some really good stuff. Bennett was again the player most likely to make chances and he seemed to run off an injury that kept him unusually quiet for a chunk of the game. That's what I want to see for the cost of my ST - good attacking football, and if we win a few games along the way all the better.

At least we can't complain that we don't get mentioned on Sky and BBC. Roll on anonymity.

Something is better than nothing, but it is no great achievemnt to finish on equal terms with a side that is in a very deep depression at the moment. James was very much out of form and favour until today and we will certainly have contributed to the restoration of his confidence.

It did seem that the second half performance was encouraging, but with a difficult fixture programme ahead we shall surely need to be far better for the full 90 minutes if we are going to make any impression on the likes of Cardiff, Reading, Hull etc.

Football success subsists on confidence to a large degree and we still seem to have some reserves of that, but experience is not abundant and the incidence of similar mistakes leading to goals makes me worry that our less experienced players are not learning their lessons as quickly as they need to. I am not saying that expecting them to learn faster is necessarily reasonable, but the requirement is getting rather urgent

season round.

We shouldn't be too surprised at James' performance today - it was only last year he was playing for England in the finals of a world tournament!

I think it's a good time to drop the Arsenal of The Championship tag!

And also that SoD is the Wenger of the Championship, although they virtually mirror each other in all things, good and bad.
