Monreal is a class player. Gibbs back up only.

To be fair, anyone should be preferred over Gibbs given that he's terrible.

That's a bit harsh Herbie. Glad to have both but Monreal is more reliable when the heat is on.

I thought Monreal was man of the match today, even without the goal. Very reliable against a Di Maria who, whilst not his best, was dangerous tonight. Especially so in the first half.

Absolutely excellent from Monreal

This season Nacho has been better than Gibbs at everything. Can you imagine Gibbs with that chance?

I prefer Gibbs but I like Monreal, don't think there's much between them. Gibbs has electric pace and Monreal is better on the ball.

Great, great performance from Nacho tonight. Up there as one of his best performances for us I'd say. Can't even remember any little mistakes tbh, Gt.

If only nacho had Gibbs pace. He truly would be wc. We got 2 excellent lb. Up to Wenger to decide who plays in which game.

Gibbs all day for me. Nacho is poor at defending a tricky opponent. Almost all crosses today came from his side and don't remember him blocking one. Usually withdrawals into the box when being directly challenged

I dunno, first half I thought he was dodgy, kept showing ADM onto his left foot which was suicidal, no coincidence ADM had his best game in months when Nacho played into his hands.

Nacho has been very good this season, much better than I thought he would be, but tonight I don't think he was that good.
