Utd will be up for this more than anything so be warned spurs fans.
All Man utd need to do to match 02-03 season is win next 10 league games to finish with same wins draws and losses as well as points as this 2002-03 title winning season.
http://www.flashscore.com/match/j905EmJm/#standings;table;overall
Now 83 points most likely will get 2nd this season.
SO you've been a safe 4 points for us for the last 2 season, so that points to a Spurs win
...................................................
Been hearing this 2 seasons thing a lot around the place....
Is 2 really some kind of pattern, its not like its a Mou Wenger thing or a United Arsenal thing where the record is so overwhelming you can't help but take it into account.... its just 2 matches spread apart by several months that you happen to have won rather than some kind of hold one team has over the other....
Or am I alone in thinking this....
I assume that if there is a draw, Spurs keep the Hafijur Cup by virtue of being the current holders.

5 games unbeaten by Utd is cherished by Spurs fans as you continually beat us for years and years.
I actually think that it was when Spurs took 4 pts of Utd and beat them at OT is when Fergie knew his time was up....when he couldnt bank on 4-6 points from Spurs every season he knew his powers were fading
Hafijur " we were so good last night. Arsenal were so lucky. Manu had 1 million decisions go against us and the ref had a shocker. Di Maria went to hug the Ref not push him and he got sent off. So unfair and always against us. We had 60 shots to Arsenals 2 and we had 99.9% possession. Van gaal is the unluckiest manager in the league. We are so hard done by and we never get any luck"

We were seconds away from winning away to Spurs in SAF final season doing a smash and grab but unfortunately we conceded right at the end after Rooney 20 minutes earlier being denied stonewall pen.
At least Spurs haven't beaten Man utd at WHL since 18th May 2001.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
super clint
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I seem to remember we battered them in that game and deserved that equalizer in the snow at WHL.
In fact I think that was the game when Utd didnt have a shot on target in the 2nd half. Some sort of record. We had +20 shots they have about 3 or 4. DeGea blinder that day. Now he's even better
We won the title by a large numbers of points that year, we slowed down collecting points at the end we were that far ahead....
I understand its something you have really enjoyed especially given our record over you. I can understand it being used to wum United fans...
I have just seen several people saying it (without appearing like wumming) as if the win was more likely because of the previous 2 seasons, not just Spurs fans either, just don't think 2 in a row is really grounds to be declaring some pattern or as some kind of mental advantage for Spurs.
For me it would have to go on for a fair few years before it actually becomes something meaningful.
I can also understand people being confident about Spurs chances, just not for that reason.
That was in response to Devonshire's post directed at me that apparently I didn't press reply on....
Devonshirespur thats how Spurs normally beat us Lloris plays a blinder and you have great efficiency.
Anyway top 4 battle will go to wire.
Sat 16 May Man United vs Arsenal 15:00
Would love it if we denied Arsenal top 4 spot this season in that game. Hopefully they don't deny us it instead <weep>
We are only 3/1 at Ladbrokes. Was expecting better
I'd still fancy us to win it personally though not hugely confident...
If you play like you did at Anfield you should win, IMO.
High press, Attack down their right side in particular where Eriksen, Rose should cause them problems.
Their defenders hate the ball.
Utd will lose at anfield bookmark
Learnt absolutely nothing. Without trying to sound arrogant or dismissive of them, I'll be disappointed if we don't come away with at least a point.

Yep
I learned that their season of no European football distractions , out of the COC early doors etc has given them an advantage and a flattering league position. I got the feeling watching them the other night I was watching an average side that were out fought in almost ever department bar the keeper. Perhaps it was planned that way to get back into the CL places at all costs, I dunno, If that is all they have no one need be too worried by them to be fair.
the only worrying thing is that despite being so poor they sit in the top 4 with a decent GD.
They do have Spurs(h) Liverpool(a) Chelsea(a) City (a) and Arsenal(h) to come. SO really for Spurs it is imperative that we do not lose and hope that they will drop points in most of those other big games
Devonshirespur its all releative spurs best performances are Man utd playing poor.
Know what you mean Devon but they are now coming into the final phase and I get the impression that LVG is running out of ideas or to use the footy vernacular, has been found out as his set up and tactics during a game looks almost archaic at times. The quality of the football in the games I've seen (albeit on the box mainly) is not what we have come to expect of a Utd team, dull, boring stuff really. Suits Chelsea sure (and look where they are), but not United.
Our tactics are really good, we are playing far better then our 6 game winning run but not getting the results.
