Yeah we definitely need more goals from our attacking midfielders.

I don't want to see both Oscar and Willian in the starting line up next season. It's one or the other unless Oscar is played in CM.

I disagree. What needs work is Mourinho. You can't have a lot of offensive players and grill them on negative defensive tactics all the time. That kills creativity. We need to have a big team mentality. I HATE it when Mourinho sets out defensively against the so called big teams. What does that make us? the Crystal Palace of this world?..sorry no offense meant.

I am a firm believer of attack is the best form of defense. If anything else, we NEED a big game coach that will handle big games for us. Let's leave Mourinho to smaller teams and competition

Let's leave the big games to someone other than the manager who has won multiple Champions Leagues and titles in four different countries

Easy to say in hindsight but I think we would've done better if we took off Costa early and put on Remy. Or put Remy on for one of Oscar/Ramires. Bascally, just put Remy on.

Oh I totally agree with that. I was saying that during the game on the match thread last night.

Let's not over react, If Thiago Silva's header goes over the bar we all talk about how great Mourinhos tactics were on the night. If we would have attacked last night and lost we'd all be saying Mourinho should have set out defensively.

Sure and if Cavani doesn't hit the post or Courtois doesn't make that save before the Silva goal we still lose.

Sadly I agree with all of that and it pretty much highlights the fickleness within football these days.

There is a very fine line in football between glorious winner and down in the dumps loser. It's all about fine margins.

Yes but even if we went through, we are always hanging in there by the skin of our teeth, always with these backs to the wall performances, 11 men in our penalty box defending for their lives. Dont you lot get bored of watching this?

You can win playing negative football or win playing decent football. I know how i want to win.

What i am trying to say is don't go into a game with a negative tactics from kickoff. 10 mins to the end of the game and your opponent are on top and you are trying to defend a lead...YES

Players ghost past Ramires like he is not there, a simple shoulder barge and he ends up sprawled on the floor. Coupled with poor ball control and mistimed tackles he is looking more and more out of place in our squad.
What happened to the blistering forward runs at pace that he showed consistently when he first joined?. Many people on here, in the past defended him because of his ability to be so quick to break.

We rarely get to see that from him anymore and without it I am not quite sure what he offers.

Sorry Rami

I agree that the players were poor last night. I'm sure that Jose is just as baffled as many of us as to why so many of our supposedly big name players simply didn't turn up last night regardless of our tactics.

I can't think of one player who played even remotely well last night and I think a lot more of the blame should be going to the players for an inept performance.

What I will say and I've been saying for a while is let's not make the mistake of disrespecting PSG. They are a very good side full of excellent players assembled at huge expense.

Luiz, Pastore and Cavani alone cost them the best part of 150 million.

This is a side that has been bought together after spending hundreds of millions and they are much better than some people are giving them credit for.

Last year we had an excuse for defending on our 18 yard line, we didn't have a goal scoring striker and Matic was cup tied. This year we have a defensive shield and have added to cracking players too, I'm not trying to sound spoiled, We have no right to win football matches but at what point to we see progression in our play instead of this scraping through no matter who it's against.

Are you seeing anyone attack with the same ferocity that theyve been known for besides Hazard? Ramires has replaced Mikel as the scapegoat. Why is it that Jose has drilled our team to be more defensive and to hold back but when its down to Ramires "why isnt he bombing forward with the ball from midfield?"

He hasnt been very good for a while with the injury he was carrying but aside from yesterday he has been making strides towards getting back to what he was and I think thats an important piece of the puzzle to this squad. Jose seems to think so too.

OP, I will give Jose nexr season to sort things with this present squad, just like as Texan said, you can't have so much attacking talents and they keep defending. I watched the game on Bein Sports yesterday, Salgado in the studio was harsh on us but he spoke the truth when he said Chelsea is not use in dominating games, had we been an attacking side, PSG would have been demolished. We have sold Schurlle, KDB loan Salah and even don't know what to do with other of our attacking loanees .

Superb, we don't need to buy anyone, for God sake RLC is as good as any Mason of Spurs, why is he not having even a regular cameo appearance in our matches? Like I said, I'll judge JM next season, god willing when we would have won the league and he may be under less pressure.

Matic was playing through injury.

Costa was denied a stonewaller/ignored when elbowed in the face.

Tell me these things wouldve not made a difference if they were rectified.

Oh I totally agree with playing Loftus-Cheek more.

Loftus-Cheek should have been used way more than he has this season, he's going to be a big name in the PL in future years whether it's with us or with someone else, no doubt whatsoever.

My other gripe is that Remy hasn't been used anywhere near enough as he should have been this season. Not bringing him on yesterday was a blunder.
