None of Hazard, Oscar or Willian can play a final ball consistently well. Hazard can barely even take corners. Hazard is easily our best player but people saying he's got the potential to be up there with Messi/Ronaldo need to behave. Robben is and was a much better player.

He worked construction before right? At least pay him those wages. Dont see how he couldve lifted a sledge hammer.

Or normal hammer.

I don't think Ramires ever went through puberty.

He has the body of an eleven year old still.

Fairly damning but I see where you're coming from.

The media for whatever reason tried desperately to overhype our team and it's chances in the first few months of the season.

Many of us tried to warn that this squad was nowhere near as good as was being made out and the constant media hype and talk of the quadruple and going unbeaten was well wide of the mark.

That was a pathetic tactic. They knew full well that it was never gonna happen. Makes it easier to tears us down when it doesnt though. They make their own news.

Frankie

I think next season could be more open for longer, before it becomes a 2 horse race.

So we will perhaps need to up our game.

Ideally we need another CB, another enforcer in midfield. I think if Boro get promoted we may re-loan Bamford to them, so another capable fwd/striker.

Hazard has 5 goals and 6 assists in the last 11 matches, not so bad really. Also Robben at Chelsea was formidable, but I would much rather have Hazard or even Mata (when he was at Chelsea).

Generally I wouldn't mind if we sold Oscar. I don't think hes even had a particularly great season since hes came here, if anything hes getting worse.

Flash I think we'll go for Varanne this summer.

What concerns me is our attack. We still don't have enough natural goalscorers in the side or squad at large. We have Remy but he never gets played.

We've been relying on our defenders to score goals recently which highlights the issue. In fact Brana is probably our third best goalscorer in the side and he's a defender so there's definitely something wrong there.

I think this summer we'll really need to re-evaluate that.

I don't think I'd be at all upset if we replaced Oscar with a more creative player with an eye for goal.

If we had been lucky enough to win anyone would be wrong to praise Mourinho's tactics (if those were his tactics). Playing defensive is fine when it's necessary, but it wasn't last night. We were at home with a man advantage for 60 min plus extra time. We conceded from 2 set pieces.

Even worse. Nearly in 2 CONSECUTIVE set pieces. Wtf? If not for Courtois they wouldve scored seconds before that.

That stat that concerns me the most is the one that we've conceded more goals in the last ten minutes than any other team in the PL this season.

We did exactly that last night in the last ten minutes of the game as well as the last ten minutes of extra time.

Something not right there.

The backs against the wall to close out the match isnt working yet we try it every game. We have more possession AND sometimes get a goal out of attacking. Seems like the best defense to me.

Yup Jose will definitely have to change tac because that one clearly isn't working for us.

Superb - don't be silly, everything is fine.

Seriously it was a poor performance. Our passing in the final third and pressing was as poor as I have seen since Moruinho came back. We were in a much worse situation last year and beat PSG - yet something went totally wrong with the players on Wednesday in a very comfortable position. I won't blame Mourinho for the tactics, however given how the rest of the season goes, I may blame him for his rotation policy (lack off) which lead to that performance. I still fully expect us to win the title - no excuses there.

KDB.. what do you think of Oscar this season mate.

posted on 13/3/15

Quite inconsistent lately - his stats are not that bad, but as some have mentioned, he seems to be a passenger in many games. Not saying no to someone stronger and with more tenacity (compared to Fabregas) next to Matic and Fabregas being moved further forward.

Cesc

I don't want to see Cesc moved forward though. He seems anonymous when he plays in that role. It's clearly not that way to go with him.

He's much more effective from deeper positions. In fact from what I've seen this season he's only effective from deeper positions.
