There has to be a better way to work the Europa League maybe on alternating weeks to the Champion's League? Thursday is just such an awful day to have to fly to the aris end of nowhere, play on an artificial pitch, then fly home and play again Sunday lunchtime.
Really diminishes the quality of the competition, when the bigger teams probably half don't want to be there.
i agree 100% with that cannot understand why that has not happened but i do think eventually it will just like i was saying the winners should qualify for cl that has finally happened. There is a clear link between cl and europa losers join knockout stages. winners of both cups played super league so it made no sense that winners did not gain entry....finally that has happened. I think Wednesday football will happen but when who knows.
Selfishly (for a supporter who's never had to go through the trivial ) I like the fact that there's a decent game to watch every day of the week most times bar fridays

But Wednesday evening CLeague, Prem, Cup, then Saturday 3pm is ok, what's the difference?
You don't play Wed/Sat every time for a start With the CL
Tues/Sat - 4 days
Tues/Sun - 5 days
Weds/Sun - 4 days
I agree with Igor, why can't they just switch it to a Wednesday week before or after the CL games.
I think Spurs like ourselves have only won one game on a Sunday after playing on a Thursday - mind you, not that we've won many this season anyway
