As long as Young puts in a shift and covers him down that flank there shouldn't be much of an issue.
As a rule though, I'd rather have Shaw.

Young has always received a lot of stick from our casual fanbase, but I can't ever remember him having a game where he didn't at the very least put in a shift. Very hard working player.
For United at least. Can't comment on his Villa days.
Nobody has ever faulted Young for his effort. The guy is a trier that is for sure. Works his socks off. Doesn't make him a great player.
His lack of end product and consistency isn't good enough for us.
Young has scored just 4 goals in last 3 seasons for the club or 74 Appearances to even more precise.
Is that good enough? One goal every 25 apps?

This.
Also, I would judge any player who can't handle Townsend. Massively overrated.

This comment is random. Young's ability wasn't the topic.
Blind reminds me of Zabaleta. Very strong energetic full back with good passing and distribution.
I, for one, cannot wait for Ashley Young to dive and win a penalty for us in front of the Kop next week which will win us the game. Scenes.
Said at the start of the season that he should be our left back btw. Shaw isn't able to consistanly deliver yet. If we had a complete squad, which hopefully we'll have after the summer, Blind would be an O'Shea type in our squad provided Shaw can attain that consistancy.
Blind hasn't been signed to play there though.
Luke Shaw hasn't done anything wrong either, other than picking up constant niggles.
Left back isn't a concern any longer. It's now Right back that is.

Shaw's consistancy isn't at the level required - yet. If Rafael's ship has sailed, I believe there are some good options out there. Clyne would be highon everyone's list, but I'm not sure he's the best option. There are a lot of rightbacks out there after all.

it will be if he makes it 5 in 75 and scores the winner on sunday
Blind for me till the end of the season anyway think he brings more experience and calm to the defence at left back then Shaw , at the current moment at time. Hopefully we can stay wit the same back four till the end of the season and get some consistency at the bck.

The English Jesus Navas.
...........
How is this guy in the City team. His crossing is on a par with Valencia.

Obvious answer is to stretch teams out in order to give Silva more room to hurt teams, offer an outlet for counter attacks and generally keep the opposition's left flank pinned in a position as much as possible.
TTheoretically, it makes sense. Navas' inability to deliver - no pun intended - though makes it a poor choice in practise though.
Clyne would be a good signing for you lot IMO!
Blind has all the attributes Shaw does not, and only does not have the 1 that shaw has (over him), pace.
Blind is a better reader of the game, far better technical ability and his passing and decision making is vastly superior. That said, Shaw has not done much wrong, and is a solid defender, but by the same token he has not added much to the team overall, where blind seems to contribute more.
Early days for Shaw, but I'd much rather see blind in there until the end of the season.
a lil late bur
rojo is terrible at lb
shaw has hardly impressed, he has been run ragged a few times but we all know he has potential
young has be impressive and very disciplined at lb. He oft played lwb but has also had a few games at lb
blind has been impressive in every game I have seen him at lb
