That really was an excellent game, great performance from Swansea and I have great respect for Gary Monk as a young manager coming through. But Brendan really earned his corn in that match and the players raised their game accordingly.
Cout the MOTM for me.

Agree with the rest but Coutinho MotM? Not for me. Allen and Skrtel were the best players followed by Mignolet. It showed as we weren't great in attack.

Thought we were gonna resort to Gerrard's direct passing. However, the diamond allowed us to keep our short passing and high tempo, with Allen and Hendo pushed further up...and Stevie sitting just behind
Rodgers really did the business for us tonight.
The positional changes he made were inspired.
Skrtel was a rock.

Lallana however wasn't effective again...feel he slows our tempo down.

He's very good at keeping the ball when teams press us. Not the best passer but he was alright.
Allen has been our potm so far for sure.

That is the third game were skrts has been immense. Alsp good to see the crowd shutting up about sakho later on in the game
Allen is first choice with Hendo for me at the moment. More mobile than Lucas and Gerrard and Can is better for now at CB.

Loved that little dribble in the Swansea area from Allen. He is a really important player for us.
Nice to see how we settled when Gerrard came on. We will miss him next season in games like this.
Need to sacrifice Lallana for Gerrard in midfield against United...just so we can dominate the middle of the park

Think it was the crowd jeering Sakho which made him get his crap together. He took more time with his passes and got them right.

Could be a big 3 points come the end of the season, found a way to win a tough game when things weren't necessarily coming off for us.
Much better second half though. Allen MOTM for me. Still not absolutely convinced by him but credit where due he's been good for a few weeks now and was exceptional tonight.
