The financial gap between the PL & Championship is huge and gives the clubs already in the PL a big advantage over the ones who came up. You look at the squad of teams like Leicester and Burnley vs Aston Villa and Sunderland and the difference is pretty big
There are no strong teams in the Championship this season either. Whoever comes up will struggle next season.

The relegated teams get a lot of money but the new deal will mean they will be more likely to just come back up the following season. Those teams who've not been in PL, coming up will struggle however.
