Shadow of Mordor wont blow you away either but its brilliant fun and well worth playing
PS4 effectively has a 3-year-old mid-range graphics card, so it's unlikely to produce anything special. It's also a comparatively small leap between PS3 & PS4. The gap between PS1 & PS2 was massive, as was the gap between PS2 & PS3, but the PS3 was so good that it becomes harder to notice any improvement.
One thing I find crazy is the number of games that aren't in 1080p. Even the PS3 was doing that years ago.
I think it depends on your expectations, I must admit the list you have posted nothing is graphically going to punch you in the face, If you ask me the two games best demonstrating the leap in graphics they would be.
Driveclub which has come on leaps and bounds from it's launch, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-CCfnbNOZg
The Order has come in for some criticism (unfairly in my opinion) but the quality in graphics is undeniable
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7SbgvtBDCQ
Developers are starting to get to grips with next gen, compute is yet to be fully utilised and will take years fully understand how best to use this powerful function.
First party games will always make the most of the PS4 hardware and with Bloodborne just around the corner is another good looking game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvVpbz-Nwxo
We are getting close to certain technical ceilings, therefor the difference between future improvements will be less and less noticeable with each new generation of console.
Added to this both companies need to be very strict with budget making this more a filler generation rather than a true next gen, so although we wont get massive improvements they will be there as the consoles get older. Dont get me wrong this generation is needed but at the moment games have entered a stagnant period, lets hope games like No Mans Sky are able to push this gen forward
Im thinkin of getting Dying Light or Battlefield:Homefront, any suggestions on any other
Hmmm there's a lot of Panic for a system that is barely on the market
It took PS3 a good couple of years to get going and expect the same for this Gen
We are still on model one PS4 for crying out loud

Sorry 1man but thats not true especially when compared with PS3/360 check out the games we had the same time after the release of 360/PS3 the quality is gulf aparts. Theres a good video on gamespot that looks at this issue.
If you cant be assed to see the video here are the games the reporter uses to highlight the differences:
1 Year after 360 release:
GoW
Dead Rising
Just Cause
Saints Row
Prey
Hitman:Blood Money
Rockstar Table Tennis
Ghost Recon
and Oblivion
And 2 years after 360 (so appx 6-12months of PS3)
Bioshock
Halo 3
Portal
Skate
Rock Band
Uncharted
CoD 4 MW
And remember PS3 is a new crazy console with lots and lots of differences not like the recycled PCs we now have as consoles
Bioshock - done nothing for me
Halo 3 - The weakest of the original trilogy IMO
Portal - Never played it
Skate - Never heard of it
Rock Band - Are you seriously including this?
Uncharted - Granted
COD 4 MW - Yes blown away
Its all about what type of gamer you are IMO
"Im thinkin of getting Dying Light or Battlefield:Homefront, any suggestions on any other"
Playing Dying Light at the minute, put about 3 hours in so far.
It's OK, hasn't really drawn me in yet, find that I've spent most of my time just going to different points on the map for a mission, or aimlessly killing zombies.
I'm hoping that once the character gets a bit more powerful and weapons become more plentiful and resilient it will be more fun.

Yeh you are right
But you deserve a slap for not playing Portal
Games that blew me away on PS3
MW
UC2
TLOU
FN Champion
Games that I really enjoyed:
MW2
MW3
UC3
SF 5
gta 5
PES 2011, 2013 & 2014
FIFA 13
Simon thought about it once!
And this is exactly why I haven't upgraded to a PS4 yet.
There is so little to entice me to do so. Why should I have to pay just to get online as well as having to shell out on expensive PS4 games that are hardly any better in quality ??
I'm definitely sticking to my PS3 for as long as possible, especially as there are so many good games I haven't even played yet.
Not all of us have £500 just lying around which is essentially how much it takes to buy a new PS4 console, get a few games and then be able to get online.
Mandatory PS+ has put me right off the PS4 too. It's clearly just a cash-grab, as there doesn't appear to have been any marked quality increase in the quality of service.
Hobo, mandatory PS+ was inevitable, Sony tried the free route with the PS3 but MS and more significantly 360 owners not only embraced the online fee but defended it.There was no way Sony couldn't follow that model even though I agree it shouldn't happen
I wish gamers had simply said no like PC gamers they didnt so the precedent was set, Sony have at least seen fit to offer free games every month which over the year easily pays for the subscription fee, so at least there is added value there.
Pandoras box has been opened there is no closing it now.

Yeah it's sickening really and Sony can kiss my ass if they think I'm parting with that kind of money just to upgrade to what is only a marginally better console.
The thing that set the PS3 apart from the xbox 360 was that you didn't have to pay just to get online. Is there any reasonable reason why we should have to pay for this now when we didn't before?
Money grabbing 's
Superb once MS had pushed the subscription model and as I said 360 owners embraced it there was no choice but for Sony to follow suit.
They couldn't remain free and compete if your competitor is raking in the money giving them alsorts of advantages, like I said the only silver lining is that at least Soony saw fit to add value to the subscription by adding free games, so there is value in PS+
Battlefield blew me away graphically. Looks gorgeous. Havent played it though so might be crap.

There was plenty of choice Amiga, like saying 'no we're not charging to get online' could have pulled in more consumers with that. (Xbox subscribers also get free games btw)
What's really annoying with the Xbox 360 is that I should pay 2 subscription fees to have 2 people (in the house) play online at the same time, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Sorry but that's not a good enough reason. Nobody wants to have to pay for online gaming and there should be no reason for it when you consider how much money Sony already make from it.
As for the free games on PS+ they can keep them as far as I'm concerned. If I wanted to have some really crappy games I'd go down to my local Cex and pay 20p for them.
Derby I am well aware that MS have started offering free games and why do you suppose they decided to do that after Hiding everything behind a paywall on the 360 including things that have already got a subscription like Netflix.

Oddworld this month was brand new, as for value PS+ is pretty good in my opinion, but thats not to say I think paying for online is right, but that box was opened by MS and the 360 fans who accepted it.
OH, Derby looking forward to some revenge tonight
Have to agree with Amiga on this one Superb and you have been very badly informed. Thanks to PS+ my game library went from a Dozen to over 60 games in under a year and im talking about things like Borderlands (this got me into BL2), Batman, RDR (only had it on 360), Mass Effect 3, Tomb Raider top down puzzle shooter thing and thats just off the top of my head - wipeout, Limbo, Ninja Gaidon on my Vita. Yes i dont want to pay for Internet and in general i dont even play mp games on the consoles, but i will be more than happy to renew my PS+ sub when i get my PS4.
So is the PS+ content on PS4 better than the content available on the PS3?
I can only speak from personal experience when I say that I found the content on PS+ on my PS3 very underwhelming.
