Johnny 'not that sort of player' Evans yet again making the kind of challenge that players who are not that sort of player don't make.

Tbf, you were confident of a Liverpool win when we spanked you earlier in the season

posted on 20/3/15

Why do all united fans refer to the 3-0 in December as a spanking? Have they just completely forgotten how the game went and the fact that de Gea won man if the match by a country mile? 3 shots 3 goals wasn't it?

If being dominated all game but being more efficient with your chances is a spanking then I don't know what to make of the game any more

£100 another big talking bet

Will it be as fake as the others

really only 2 goals Brennie

Rooney set a record for being 17 yards offside yet still being allowed to 'score'

You get nowt for "dominating the game" Arsenal fans can vouch for that, 3-0 is a rather convincing scoreline

Liverpool were the better side by a mile on that day. It was a freak result.

?

United have dominated plenty of games this season, and ended up not winning. Were they freak results?

Was just pointing out to perma-wum mark that it was not by any definition a spanking. They did however get all 3 points

This article has a high likelihood of being revisited by Man U fans on Sunday, thanks for jinxing us GB

Neo...calm. We have a near fully fit squad, we are at Anfield and utd are struggling performance wise. Be amazed if wevdont win by more than two.

I wouldn't worry about performances GB, in our last 4 games we've kept 3 clean sheets, scoring 7
You also have 3 clean sheets scoring 5

Hardly outperforming us

No but playing well and losing by the odd goal is relatively common. Frustrating as hell but it happens all the time.

Playing well and losing by 3 goals very rarely happens. It's a freak game from that perspective.

A couple of similar articles on both boards but perhaps not quite as extreme prediction as this.

Have to say (maybe just luck) it's nice to see very few wum/stupid comments; mostly sensible thoughts & predictions from both sides.

We (United) have performed better in the bigger games and it's good to see that acknowledged above.

Tight game, agree that Liverpool are slight favourites (due to form and being at Anfield). I also think that if the score is 3-1 or more, it will be Liverpool getting the result not us.

As someone mentioned though, you need to take your chances (something you didn't do at OT), if you don't we have a chance of getting the result. If you do, you will win. I can't see us scoring more than 2 and even 2 I'm doubtful of.

Here's to a top game with passion, tackles, fouls and skills but hopefully no red cards as they always ruin the game and become the talking point rather than the game itself.

Good luck (not really)

Oh and been a big fan of Coutinho for a while now and he's coming good. Hope we could take him but I'm sure he'll go to Spain soon if he continues to develop, don't want you lot keeping him 😃

I really hope we win but I fear a smash and grap victory for Man U like they did a few years ago (John O Shea).

No you were not. 2 of the chances Sterling had were gifted to him by Evans.

He is not playing tomorrow
