Yeah I'd absolutely love to see GGG take on the winner of the Floyd v Manny fight.

It would never happen though. Floyd would never take that fight even if he could fight Golovkin at a catchweight of 152 like he did against Canelo.

In fairness GGG is probably just too big at about 5"11 and for that reason we'll never see him fight either Floyd or Manny.

It's a shame that Golovkin isn't a bit naturally smaller because 147 is where it's really at in boxing at the moment and seeing Golovkin take apart what is a very good welterweight division at present would be great fun.

GGG. Says he can make 154lbs but it would be a struggle he's a little bit bigger than canelo and in his 30s would take a lot out of him.

WW is a strong division and usually is its a shame because Thurman Khan bradley brook porter are all number 1-2 in every other division

Stylistically speaking GGG vs Thurman is a fight I'd love to see. That would be an absolute war. Shame we'll never see it although Thurman seems willing to fight just about anyone so it's not impossible I suppose.

Thurman just doesn't have the power at LMW or the reach I don't think so he won't be able to keep him of him. GGG vs de gale at SMW would be good though

Yeah true but I was speaking more hypothetically if GGG was a natural welter.

The sad truth is that GGG shouldn't be allowed anywhere near fighters who naturally fight at 147.

Shame as I'd love to see him smash the granny out of Floyd

He would be coming in the ring at 167-170 vs floyd or manny which is 15-20lbs more plus the fact he punches like a SMW/LHW he is just to big, canelo and marg were ok at that size because they don't punch as hard

Yeah I agree which is why in reality GGG shouldn't really be allowed anywhere near any welterweights.

The only reason I've previously alluded to GGG fighting Floyd is because of Floyd's incredible defence. If there is any welter who could potentially fight GGG without getting his face caved in it would be Floyd for that reason.

Would be a pretty boring fight floyd jabbing and running untill/if he gets caught

Pacquiao is a 147lbs fighter so unless GGG can make 147lbs it can't happen.

Floyd has never been interested in fighting GGG for the last 3 years even at 154lbs, I don't see that changing.

If he does this, then i will lose respect for him. He will be doing what Broner did and facing smaller opponents.

The man is clearly too powerful for hie weight peerts, and should test himself against guys who can take his hits.

Exactly ggg seems to get a pass calling out smaller guys, if everyone is so scared of you and you can't get a decent fight as claimed go up to super middleweight, the guy is a lifelong mw and has created a reputation based more on who he's not fought than who he has, look at kovalev, that guy and his team can seem to get live wc opponents despite being a wrecking ball, it's just about sometimes what your willing to give up in negotiations

Forget ward the guys career has turned into a joke, wasted 2 years of his prime over contract disputes, he could be undisputed p4p num1 at this point,

GGG should be fighting chavez Jr, ward, Bute, Froch, canelo, cotto over hte next couple of years

of course, a match with mayweather or pac would be chosen ahead of all however $$$$$$

Mayweather is the 154 lbs. I always believe a real champ should be willing to take on the best at the weight.

I don't know why anyone would argue with this stance, but some do.

Can't argue with that D4 at all, if you hold the belt at the weight then fight at the weight, BUT do you think he should have tried to get GGG instead of Pacman?

Floyd's fought the best at LMW d4 unfortunately GGG isn't a LMW if he came down to 154lbs and made him the number 1 guy and floyd ducked him so be it but untill that happens he's no more the best at LMW as Say broner is

Who do you think would win out of GGG vs Cotto at 154lbs

Or GGG vs Alvarez at 154lbs?

GGG should be moving up, not down.

Nobody will fight him at 147/154 because he's a monster and could seriously fack up those smaller guys. He should go challenge himself against guys that can match his power.
