lol this is a myth, Chambers has looked an accident waiting to happen even in the 2 good games he's had this season, he is a League 2 standard player, but he probably wouldn't even make it down there because he's such a weak, pathetic coward with no heart and no bottle.

Even when he was doing OK at the start of the year he was still making a mistake a game that we got away with.
Giroud deserves more praise than you're giving him at the moment
Good away win. Really missed Ozil to control tempo of the game and get a hold of the midfield.

That is true. Our midfield second half not keeping the ball well. We nearly facked it up and Newcastle pressing us.
Some ridiculous criticism from the OP.
Ospina could do nothing about the goal.
Giroud deserves more praise than you're giving him at the moment
------------
I've acknowledged his contribution of late, he's improved massively but just saying we can do better.
Expected him to score cos his record against N'castle is superb but a hat-trick would've really taken me back, can't fault him as I said but we need an absolute killer of the Aguero/Suarez ilk
Ospina is a joke, nowhere near as commanding as Szcz, gets pushed around like a little girl and hasn't got the bottle to come out for crosses and set pieces like Szcz. Get this weak weak midget out, we need more men in the team
Ospina flat footed there he commits to his decision to early I really don't like that. Nearly cost us on that deflection but he recovered well.
Not convinced with him at all

Only we'd sign a keeper that gets injured everytime he's challenged for the ball
that wasn't grinding it was panicking and hoping for the best,so many Newcastle corners decent penalty shout
The problem with all this self congratulating for hanging on is that Liverpool and Man Utd are still lurking. We don't have a comfortable gap.
It only needs a couple of poor results and we will be out of the top 4.
Should've been home and hosed by HT. Knew fatigue would kick in 2nd half, but didn't expect us to look so sluggish after the break.
Missed Özil today.
Good result going into the inetrnational break. Some players will hopefully get a breather.
Wenger really seems dead set on showing Walcott he's not as important to us as he might think he is. Think that one is only heading one way...

I agree with you lex. The only problem with that is Wenger has to be pretty sure we don't get another RVP situation. RVP was old. Walcott is not. And Liverpool are a very good club.
I agree on Chambers - a talented player, but not an RB in the long-term. He did make some mistakes at CB (namely his tendency to step out of the back, get too tight to his man, and leave a gap in defence), but this is something that can be rectified over the long-term.
I don't think Coquelin had a bad game at all. He switched off a bit for their goal, but otherwise, there wasn't much he could do to stop Newcastle's incessant pressure.
It only needs a couple of poor results and we will be out of the top 4.
---------
Exactly, why today's result is worthy of praise, don't forget we faced big disappointment in midweek was always demanding going into this game with a side with nothing to lose.
Chelsea won in similar fashion vs West Ham and were praised.
We're showing champions mentality and as your example states a couple bad results for Chelsea and we're right in the title race
Op if liverpool or United win tomorrow do you consider them involved in the title race like you do Arsenal?
Grinding out a win or letting them back into it.
After the domination we had in the first half they were always going to come at us after half time. We should be looking to push them back but always end up the same way, parking the bus and inviting pressure so end up giving them a lift and hanging on under severe pressure.

Agreed. Liverpool, in particular, look very good at the moment.
"Wenger really seems dead set on showing Walcott he's not as important to us as he might think he is. Think that one is only heading one way..."
Yeah, something does seem strange. If that's the case, then I fear it may backfire if today's anything to go by.
I don't think Coquelin had a bad game at all. He switched off a bit for their goal, but otherwise, there wasn't much he could do to stop Newcastle's incessant pressure.

I felt it was when he came back on the pitch after injury his distribution was pretty poor gave the ball away cheaply quite often but defensively was okay, seen better days.
Think we should really groom Calum into the central role quick wide players can get at him with ease he doesn't have the mobility imo
The fact that United and Liverpool are lurking is probably why we have found a way to hang on.
Some people are trying to find ways to he hysterical about a nervy second half away to newcastle with 50k fans backing them.
To the city fan pointing out how panicky we are, it certainly is better than collecting 0 points away at burnley.
We had the same kind of performance at palace. When we score early goals we effectively make it hard for teams to beat us. Granted we are still learning to score the 3rd or 4th goal that kills of the tie but at least we score the first goal or 2.
City can't do that.
Missed Özil today.
Me as well. So much more structure with him in our game.
Op if liverpool or United win tomorrow do you consider them involved in the title race like you do Arsenal?
-------------
Nope, if Chelsea win tomorrow they're 7 points above us with a game to play against us we can catch them within 2 matches and make our game decider.
Liverpool will remain 10 points behind that's at least 4 games to catch them can't see Chelsea slipping that far behind.
United maybe but can't toughest run-in in the whole top 6 can't see it.
City look like they're awake again so who knows but ourselves and them are the biggest threats for me.
Not caring about Chelsea's game in hand till it's played btw

I can see what you're saying. I think he did try to do too much at times, and I noticed he went for the killer ball on a number of occasions which got cut out. But I guess the counter-argument is that we were getting pressed so intensely that our short-passes would have been playing into trouble.
It's a bit of a conundrum, but nevetheless, I agree with you that his passing still needs a little bit of refining.
Completely agree on Chambers. There's really not much that can be done to develop pace a great deal at this level. I think in an ideal world, we'd keep him mainly on the bench and in the reserves whilst he developed his tactical awareness at CB; however, it seems the Debuchy injuries have made Wenger inclined to play Chambers at RB on occasion to provide us with a bit more aerial prowess at the back.
If we can keep Debuchy fit, then hopefully Wenger can focus on developing Chambers in a more central role.
