Correction. He was a player we said COULD be in our team but he wasn't quite good enough to hold down a place, which is why he wanted to leave, and fair play to him.
And you're really overdoing this long ball stuff. I suggest you actually watch Albion for a full 90 minutes instead of parroting what Pundit says.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, you wanted him in the first team:
http://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/270104
You even got into a debate with Derby fans after the second bid was rejected and he handed in a transfer request. Made out like you were Real Madrid:

I work with Derby fans as well and when this saga was going on, Albion fans were all over Derby fans forums like flies, talking about how you were a bigger club and George Thorne was in your plans. Some even laughed at Derby fans when he got that serious injury at the start of the season. Always classy.
Others may have wanted him in the first team on the strength of watching Derby's play-off final with QPR but I personally didn't think he was better than our incumbent midfielders, and Albion didn't seem sure of his best position either. We had Yacob and Mulumbu as DMFs and they are both still better than Thorne. And if you care to check more carefully, you'll find it was Derby fans over us like flies at the time. We merely gave it back. And I don't recall any Albion fan laughing at Thorne's injury. Can you back that claim up? And by the way, Pundit has been on the Derby boards saying you'll take Thorne and Martin off them when you get promoted. You won't get promoted, and be careful about wanting Thorne: he's done both knee cruciates now, and I fear his next big injury will be his last.
I believe you said he could slot straight back into the team following the play off final.
It was on Derby forums and Twitter that West Brom fans made those comments. I have no interest in finding them out, but needless to say, all Derby fans I know dislike West Brom following that saga.
I don't care what Pundit does. He's a maverick.

Jeremy knows what a chairman should spend money on, and it's not £30 million shiny new stands when you've got a Championship squad heading for Divisions 2 and 3.
......................................................
that depends on the club and the chairman
wolves with sir jack and steve shop at harrods
albion and jeremy shop at aldi
Harrods = Overpriced tat
Aldi = Honest value for money.
Then he decided to leave you and join a club where he might get a touch of the ball in midfield rather than be bypassed all the time with long balls.
.................................................................
Not only is George the 'best thing since sliced bread' but he is also a Psychic.
If he knew Pulis was getting appointed last summer, how come he didn't tell us or Palace?
Eh?
EH?
Im going to see Morrisey Friday Yeeeaa!!! O sorry back to point, I saw lots of albion fans on here laugh when Thorne got injured !

Don't you know anything about time travel? You can't tell people about what's gona happen!!!
Because the long ball strategy was apparent in Pepe Mel's tenure. Hence why he alwas wore sunglasses.

I said Thorne had had plenty of game time in the starting XI and as a sub and that he could come back in on that basis - including as a sub. Thorne, however, didn't want to be just a sub, he thought he was good enough to hold down a first team place, said he wanted first team football, and that he hadn't been treated fairly by Albion. He made the mistake of going public in the Press with those views, and at the same time declared his desire to join Derby, where he had been getting first team football from the March onwards, having gone there on loan in the January, but he only got in the Derby team because another player, John Eustace I think, got injured. Your Derby mates will be able to confirm all that.
As for Derby fans, they seem to think the world owes them Premier League football, they're extremely bad losers, and they're still moaning about losing to Wolves last week.
As for the merits of Pepe Mel and Tony Pulis, it's rich coming from Wolves. Terry Connor, Stale Solbakken, Dean "I know the formula" Saunders? Christ.
I don't understand. It's very rare (if ever) we saw any of those Wolves managers wear sunglasses. You've gone off on a tangent.
Considering this thread was about Gamboa, and that it was you or some other Wolves fan who mentioned sunglasses and high balls into the air, you only have yourself to blame for being off tangent.
But you have to give those three Wolves managers credit for setting Wolves back by at least three seasons, and Mick McCarthy and Moxey and Morgan for kick starting it all.
Thanks for your concern love 😘

Thanks for pointing out my comment of "Whenever i've seen him before the game has passed him by a bit and hasn't looked the most mobile or competitive midfielder."
Needless to say I stand by this but i'd also like to add that he's incredibly injury prone.
Come see yer Dad!
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Whereas the Wolves clock is three seasons slow, and losing even more time.
in those three seasons we've won twice as many games as albion
and won more in one season than your three combined
And why is that, we wonder in amazement.

Oh dear...
Using that analogy then Burton, Shrewsbury,Wycombe and Bury have won more games than Wolves!

It would be difficult for a clock to be more than 11 hours and 59 minutes slow, although some will just argue that its one minute fast. That's is unless it is a 24 hour clock which may stretch to 23 hours and 59 minutes.
And a 24 hour clock can still only ever be a minute fast.
