To be honest Roxbury, I think it's a very small minority that don't appreciate one or the other but like the small child screaming in the supermarket, they're hard to ignore as they flood forums etc with any tiny bit of mud slinging they can.
It also doesn't help that (in some peoples eye, inc mine) they've denied the boxing fans the fight of the generation in their primes (You can argue who's at fault until your blue in the face) which also taints them a little.
Personally I don't see the point in running either down as a talent because that will diminish what will be a great victory for either. (Seriously if someone tells you the opponent is crap and then you win what does it actually mean????)
They lack charisma too....hey derby !!
Ha ha ha, possibly
I'd also state that they are both top of the pile and as such people like to knock them down for any reason.
I don't understand why people assume that because you can appreciate a persons skill it means you condone everything they do.
Very tribal both sets of fans though......
As you know very well..............Floyd loses he's always been overated...........Manny was never that good anyway If he loses...
Objectivity out the window..
I think it got something to do with Mayweather being a unt
Does that mean you can't applaud his career...Or can't you seperate the two..
His career has been decent, done at super feather.
Took two big vacations didn't take on the best in there prime.
Lacks career defining fights and not because they were not there.
Decent.....
What's the point...
He made some very smart moves in his career, choosing the right fight at the right time to move him up a level in the public's perception.
The hate for Mayweather from D4 is literally just too much, it's going on and on and on it's actually becoming so pathetic and embarrassing and just looking like it's more and more of a racial thing

Like Manny taking on a fully beaten Hatton, after Mayweather, or a completely shot Moseley after Mayweather, or how about giving one of the the most despicable cheats in the sport a good payday (Marg in case you didn't know) yup he's a beacon alright.
Crouching, he's too stupid to actually understand race issues so don't think it's that at all.
Floyd is a nailed on top 20. Pac is in the 40s. The only good name on his record who was near prime was Barrera. Others should come with an asterisk.
In fairness I'd like to know who's in the 30s in your list...
Whilst I'm not a massive fan of all time lists (Too many arguments over opinions) I would say that Manny and Floyd shouldn't be seperated by more than a couple of people

That was Floyd's opinion of himself, about making smart business moves.
You holler like an ex-Wife..........Makes everything you write pointless..
Is this the biggest fight for the 'internet generation'?
I'm sure if Hagler/Leonard happened now (with the just past their primes) then we'd be having the same thing said about Hagler.
Along with people taking fake pictures as fact and random crap thrown at each boxer.
'Haglers bald, just proves that PED's have made his head bigger. Leonard always likes to look nice, proves he's an EPO freak etc etc'
It what Floyd said, I agree with him.
We know you do..............More repetitions than a champion bodybuilder....
Of course that means that if Manny beats him it means nothing as (according to D4) he's got better scalps on his record (That Mosely one's amazing )
BUT
if Floyd wins it shows Manny up to be an overated jumped up herbert cause he got beat by someone crap. (again in D4's eyes.)
Ridiculous
