Obviously at times his career was a bit of a joke, but he'll always be an Olympic gold medalist and a European belt holder and fought for a world title, fair play to him
As brave as they come, until he got in the ring of course.
Good on him for his Olympic glory,
less said about his pro career the better.

That haye fight ffs

Don't wish any serious injury on him but he's a fooking joke and I'm glad he's out of the sport
Had all the tools and ability necessary to be one of the best. Just didn't have the mental aspect, and hated being hit, was always scared. Shame really
Said he is looking like declaring bankruptcy.
I know with the Harrison article earlier that maybe we are supposed to feel for the guy, but when I think of the money he got from that bbc contract they gave him followed by the money he must have got for the Haye fight.
Idiot.

He's done a lot for UK amateur boxing. His lobbying made sure that more money went to the grass roots of the game. Without him it is doubtful fighters like luke Campbell, Khan and Degale would have won medals. They got funding so they could concentrate on boxing and not working in Burger King to earn a living.
A credit to British Sport.
He was a mid-level HW in his pro career but he did win the gold in the olympics and that's something a lot of pros will never have
