Not really, he completely ignored the point I made.
I did enjoy some of it, the point was that it is kind of sad that we look back on a 15th place finish as some kind of heroic effort.
All those teams I mentioned have done better than wolves in recent times regarding league finish, do we admire them or envy them? Not really do we, because as I said, it was only survival.
I find it sad that now that is what is considered success.
It's all relative though. It was the best and most prolonged period we'd had in the top division, (and following on from a Championship title win), since Barnwell was in charge, and that was over 30 years ago.
It is all relative, which is why i am comparing our 'achievement' with clubs of our standing, and basically our best is not as good as most of them, including Norwich, Wigan, Pompey, Reading, Palace, Boro, Blackburn, Bolton, Southampton, Fulham, Charlton, Swansea, Albion and even feckin' Birmingham.
Stick Hull feckin' city in that list as well
Well you can't blame KJ for not having bettered it yet, as he hasn't been at the club long enough, (and started from a disadvantaged position in Division 3). Time will tell if he can do better.
It has nothing to do with KJ.
But let's hope the path he has set us on turns out as well as the path he set Swansea on.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he was either sacked, or agreed to leave by mutual agreement, when they were in Division 3. If that's setting a path to where Swansea are now, we, at Wolves, might as well be applauding Solbakken!
He left as he felt he was not being backed.
The following season saw to team struggle for consistency and receive criticism from both their fans and chairman.[19][20] Despite initially insisting that he was the right candidate to take the club forward, he surprised his chairman by resigning on 15 February 2007, stating that he felt he "no longer has the 100 per cent support of everybody connected with the club from the fans, the media, the players and the board alike" and so departed by "mutual agreement".[21
But anyway, don't shoot the messenger, only relaying what i have read from other Swansea fans, i don't know how much impact he had, but he was the one who got the ball rolling thats for sure.

In fact Swansea had THREE further managers - Martinez, Sousa, and Rodgers, before they eventually got promotion! Nice guy that he is, to give credit to KJ for establishing Swansea in the Premier League would be over generous, I feel.
I haven't seen your link. I will take a look.
Who gave him credit for getting to the prem?
I mentioned the path he set them on and said i hope the path he set us on results in a similar end result, an established premier league club.
You don't like the Premier league cinci.
Make your mind up.
...and what, exactly is an 'established' premier league club?
We might as well credit Colin Lee for setting things up for MM to win the Championship title!
Enoch Powell being investigated...

I don't like it.
But it is the target.
A team who you don't consider a relegation candidate i guess.
What will happen when we overlap?

This came from Gary Monk not long after Jackett left Swansea, seems he is on board.
“‘I think Kenny deserves a good reception. I don’t know if the fans ever really gave him their full backing during his time here, but I think the job he did put us on the road to success. If you look at his record compared to those of other managers at this club down the years, it’s a lot better than a lot of them. You can’t ignore that and I think it would be very harsh if he was to get booed. He did a lot of good things for this club and he deserves a decent welcome in return. The players have talked about it. We’ve all said the same thing, and I think the majority of fans will appreciate the job that he did..”
Hope he didn't get booed.
He definitely would have been better than a lot of the previous managers, I'd agree. I remember when they were Division 1 (Top Division), before. Martinez changed things around with his "continental style", and I imagine the the other subsequent managers would have stamped their style on the club, before they eventually got promotion.
