ROI v Poland tonight Chronic, just about to leave work, kick off at 19:45, over 4 hrs in the pub then going to the game.

It's about perspective I guess

They should just leave international football for the summer

There have been 2 or 3 games of interest... But two of those are friendlies. Watched France vs Brazil the other night and will watch Brazil now. Might check out the Ireland game later too as that group is interesting.

Overall, 3 fixtures out of about 50 played over 5 days

The Wales group is pretty interesting too. Wales got some good players in their team at the moment

Would even say Wales could give England a good game

Supporters of lower league teams find it much more entertaining. Got a few friends who supports league 1- conference teams, they seem to get much more excited for it.

I do find it a bit boring. But that's probably down to england on the whole being a very boring side to watch. If we got to support Spain, Germany brazil instead, it might be more fun.

Also the quality of opposition makes it dire viewing. Could maybe have less groups packed with 6 terrible teams and 1 good one. Not sure how. But if we played decent opposition more, qualifying would be more entertaining.

Overall, I don't mind it to much. Find it more relaxing than watching prem football. I always see it as a good chance to have all your friends round for few beers, and enjoy a game when we all want the same team to win. It's taken less seriously. I never really like watching arsenal, or big prem games with a load of friends.

Lower league teams only love watching England because of the dire football and standard they have to witness week in week out with their club teams lets be honest. I'm no where near as passionate with England as I was back in Euro 96 but hopefully that passion might slowly come back with the rise of harry Kane

It's the superiority complex kicking in again. The England fans can't accept being shiet. Don't be such a glory hunter chronic you sound like an arsenal fan.

Much as I support the idea of International teams and football, these qualifiers (like those for the WC) for the most part are total sleepers and as exciting as watching paint dry at times.

If we have to have them, why can't league games that have no players missing on international duty go ahead like they use to do a number of years ago? At one time, clubs that had no more than two players out of their line-up were required to fulfill their league obligations.

All the present system is doing is turning more and more people against the idea of international competition and giving that growing group of dissenters more ammunition for their cause.

I missed the Prem games this weekend but I’m very passionate about my country and will always love watching England play. I couldn’t care less if the England team was full of Arsenal players - I would cheer them on if they were wearing the three lions.

England 'til I die .

that is all good and well, but doesn't change the fact that its a total load of dross and it would be more fun to watch grass grow.

Chronic,

As i said on another article (so my apologies for the duplicate text):

Whilst I miss Premiership football, I’m an extremely proud patriotic chap and love watching the 3 lions. It was particularly pleasing to see England finish last night with almost half of the outfield (4 from 10) being representatives of young THFC players . And it was particularly nice to see Townsend belt in the equaliser . Confidence does wonders for any player.
