The basis of this article is that he has a release clause.

I can't find the original article from France Football but if true, then this could be Levy's biggest mistake.
I doubt though as the release clause is far less than what you would expect and probably even less than what they paid for him as well.

Where did this come from? Someone's a ss more like. What a load of s hit. I'm not saying Lloris will be at Spurs for the rest of his career but history tells you levy Dosent do release clauses.

No such clause according to the express

Again as I said above I doubt there is one but why would United target Lloris when they have DeGea and just bought Valdes?

posted on 31/3/15

De Gea is off to Real and Valdes is just a back up?

If it was such a secret clause, why has it been leaked out to the press?

" The basis of this article is that he has a release clause."

And the basis of my reply is that :

Levy does not do release clauses. He does sales taxes.

I'm not a lawyer but I would imagine there is a commercial in confidence clause. If Lloris had a clause in his contract I would all but stake my house on it being substantially higher than his current market value of £17.6m sterling.

They should put a clause in walkers contract

No studs up challenges on your own keeper

I accept the premise of the "if an offer of ..." clause, but it given it would be guarded viciously and any party in the contract that leaks it would be probably in breach of contract ...

The Internet world and his wife know its exact value.

Isn't Messis' clause alleged to be 250m Euros ??
And some Russian club "triggered" it.

Perhaps, the problem might be that they fixed the release clause in euros a year or two ago, and with the euro having weakened significantly the sterling value of that could be a lot lower than you would expect.

I have no idea whether there is a clause or not of course.

Even so Don, it isn't likely to be a release clause. We paid €10m with €5m of potential add-ons plus a 20% sell on agreement with Lyon. I really cannot see Levy agreeing to sell Lloris for less than €35m of which €7m would instantly go to his former club especially as many of the same blogs are ‘touting’ de Gea at €50m. A similar article appeared last year and that was cobblers too.

Almost certainly true...and people are touting DDG at £50m by the way, not €50m.

Still, take away cobblers printed in the papers and we'd all have nothing left to talk about.
