Interval suits Selby a lot more than McGill

Selby century, game on?

Good solid break by Selby in this frame but McGill kind of threw it away, can't afford to snatch at long pots he obviously doesn't believe he can pot, but go for it anyway, think was too ambitious to go for the long pot he did at start of frame, he seems to think he should go for all the long pots hoping to get one to start him of with a decent break to give him a stable lead in the frame but he should just be patient and play safe until he gets a better chance, he needs just one frame so should just wait for the right opportunity b4 going for anything, its Selby that's the one who cant afford to make any mistakes so just wait until he does then make him pay.

Cheers RKW, should be a good championship this year with many players paying top stuff, more consistency with many of the players other than just Ronnie being the standout, with guys like Trump, Ding, Murphy, Ronnie, Robertson, McGill, Higgins, Carter, Stevens all paying well.

Yeah I think the title is wide open. Always nice to see players like McGill making the second week in Sheffield, a bit like Barry Hawkins two years ago.

McGill great red to middle, trying to work this opportunity and doing well so far...

Forgot to mention Selby still in this yet, but McGill showed against Maguire he has the temperament after his comeback.

Great chance now, hope he can do it. If he beats him then the Crucible curse will have struck again, still no first time champion defending their title

Great yellow he played in the penultimate frame which showed his confidence, he seems to be the type of player that if he plays a poor shot just shrugs it off and gets on with it with the belief that he will bang the next pot in, wont let it get to him like some other players which is a good thing to have the mental approach, should put him in good stead for the future, noticed Ronnie has given him some plaudits recently and he never praises anyone easily unless they have some real quality, so the future looks good for this lad, but still a lot to learn, but a good run this year for him would be great experience doesn't seem fazed at all by the big stage, actually revels in it unlike some, still think that the winner may come from either Ding, Robertson, Murphy or Trump this year, Murphy and Robertson more solid Ding and Trump more flair, would like to see Ding or Trump win, although Murphy is coming into great form now and Robertson looks good, Ronnie I don't think is match sharp and may fade later in tournament but all depends with his talent anything is possible and that also means losing in the next round or coasting it, would also like to see Stevens do well.

Haha feck off Selby. That's karma for your disrespectful celebration last week and you were outplayed and out fought today. Take a bow McGill
