Nah he wont go but finish seventh and have a poor start to the season again and he'll be looked at.

Saying that finish fifth and win the FA Cup and that's a good season.

Football eh?

Depends how season ends. If we lose to Blackburn and then can't buy a win in league that would be unreversable momentum for next season and the owners will have to act but if we do the reverse and even lose in FA Cup final it should be enough to give him another year.

The target should be at least 5th.

Two losses against two in form top sides who are player for player much better than us; it's not really a massive surprise.

Rodgers needs to stay in summer, but we need to be immeasurably better in the transfer market. We need to sign real top quality proven players, not young talent.

And if we can't sign that top talent is Rodgers to blame?

It's about footballers at the end of the day.

Things change quickly in football. Just a few weeks ago, many believed you were a shoo-in for top 4 and you'd spank Man U at Anfield. Man U were expected to lose to both Spurs and 'Pool. How quickly it all changes. You've done great since December, but it's unraveling a bit. You hit your peak in your League Cup tie with Chelsea.

I still wouldn't want to play you in the FA Cup final though. Hope Blackburn or Villa can pull off a huuge upset.

He won't get sacked at the end of the season. If the season after is the same as this then it's bye bye

Sacking him would be ridiculous. If the owners went down that route I would question their suitability as the custodians of LFC.

Sheriff.

We're thinking the same about Reading haha

We should be Marco. But we had our worst start in 50 years, it's been a bad season so 5th is now the target.

Rodgers won't be sacked . Very good manager.

Still in his infancy, so will learn from experiences.

Our top four hopes relied on not losing to man utd and arsenal.

We did.

One thing I will say is Rodgers needs to sometimes look at getting the result in a game rather than fulfil the footballing style.

Yesterday for example, needed to flood the midfield.

The 'Transfer Committee' needs to be looked at.

The signings of Lambert & Balotelli were strange considering that they didn't fit into BR's playing style.

Rodgers has had a shocker in the transfer market with only Sturridge, Can and the Brazillian la looking good.

Who's fault is the bad start? Didn't Rodgers also have the worst start in 50 years when he finished 7/8th?

It doesn't help to change manager everytime things go sour.

That's football and nobody is entitled to win everything.

I say just stick with him. The examples of Shankly and Ferguson should be a lesson to all.

Yeah rodgers as a manager can only get better.

Just like Martinez down the road.

Look at the situation..

Arsenal and Wenger - 2 more years at best
Van gaal and man utd - definitely only 2 more years
City and Pellegrini - he's gone at the end of the season.

Can see Jose sticking around for another 5 years at Chelsea. I think Abramovic has learnt to stop interfering.

If you loose to Blackburn on Wednesday do you see Rodgers actively trying to miss Europa as he had his most successful stint without mid week distraction

posted on 5/4/15

We won't lose to blackburn...

But with rodgers saying we need to make FA cup a priority, with which comes Europa league, then it doesn't make sense to try and actively miss Europa.
