Why is it that when I post you disagree with me totally and sometimes abusively but 3 months later you post exactly the same thing that I complained about?

I went ballistic when we went out of the cup to Leicester but you told me we had bigger things to aim for. Now you are as upset as I was the day we went out of the cup????????

Rotation is a garbage idea and is only endorsed and agreed to by the younger fan who has got the majority of their ideas from the media and the pundits.

The game is a hell of a lot easier now than it has ever been. Perfect pitches, nobody allowed to commit GBH on a player but now they claim tiredness? You dont see the players who really wanst to play claiming tiredness. The likes of Rooney wants to play every single game and so should any decent player.

Does nobody remember the row with VDV when he found out he was not in the Europa squad? As somebody said in an earlier post maybe rest one or two players that look like they are suffering but 7 and 8????

Look at us against Burnley after we had not played for a couple of weeks, total crap. Ok SAF used to rotate but he had the squad to rotate and we dont so in that case why we do it god only knows. Not only that but he licked the games he knew he could win with a few stars missing.

A few years ago if a manager or player was asked what was the most important game his reply was simple "THE NEXT ONE" Between 1980 and 1985 Steve Perryman averaged over 60 games a season for Spurs whats the difference now?

We were in Europe then so he had the same travelling problems. We never flew anywhere in England then so it was coaches or trains prolonging the travelling times.

Is it that there were more real men around then instead of a bunch of fairies?

There are three real big hoaxes fuelled by the media and people get sucked in and take them as true.

1, The Premiership is the best league in the world (its not)

2. Playing two games a week is not possible without the squad disintegrating into an uncontrollable mass of exhaustion from which there is no recovery

3. The CL is something special when in all honesty the group games are a joke and you might actually see about 4 decent ties during the whole competition the rest is just about certain clubs earning more money than anybody else turning every league in Europe into a joke.

One day (probably not in the near future) the money in the game will slow up and when it does the game will be a hell of a lot better for it. As it stands there are only realistic chances for 6 clubs to qualify for the top 4 spots and guess what? They are the 6 richest clubs in the land. What a shock that is

The working mans sports is being turned into an elitist entertainment package where most fans cannot afford to go and most clubs cannot afford to compete.

How the hell is that good for the game?

Its not good for the game and its not good for the sport.

How the hell are bang average foreign players over here earning a damned fortune?

Chiriches is a typical example but most prem clubs have them. Extremely average players being paid ridiculous sums of money for the sort of performance that would be more suited to a Sunday pub league.

Football is now a business and dont believe thats good for the game because its not, eventually the bubble will burst and there will be a lot more clubs like Leeds and Portsmouth lets just hope we are not one of them.

The one thing I have never disagreed with you on is making a real go for the cup competitions, and rotation has always been a major bugbear with me. I am constantly arguing with Chronic over it, so it id unfair to dig me out on that. Our main disagreement is where Spurs are in the grand scheme of things, I said they were above average, you disagreed. Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion. The team last couple of away games especially have been garbage, I will agree on that, but in general with a fit first XI, they are a match for most teams when they get it right, especially at WHL.

Anf for what is worth, I shall be banging the drum next season for no rotation, and full strength teams in every cup game where possible, and that will include Europa Group Games.

I was an advocate of being in the competition at the start of the season due to what it can bring you, but I must admit it's getting kind of tiresome being in this competition regularly only to keep falling before the semis.

I'd love to see what we could do for once without it, as for the last 5 years we've been as good as we've ever been in the league before, and having this competition on our shoulders through most of that time I do feel it's diminished our full league potential, and even potential in other cups. Unless you are a really strong team which we are not, I think it will always be that way. The only English team to win it have been Chelsea, and they had won the CL the season before. That says it all.

Maybe if we were in a position where we could prioritise and go for this comp more than anything else, we'd have a chance too, but that just never happens. Levy wants that top 4.

Not sure Levy wants top for as much as some of our obsessed fans.

He must be pretty keen for some of our managers to have lost their jobs quite unmercifully.

40m odd quid per season for nothing more mediocre than being beaten QFs ??

Yeah, I'm sure Levy goes "meh" about that.

What money do CL rounds give you compared to the equivalent in Europa? Do you know?

posted on 7/4/15

When we checked the accounts one year, THFC showed around 10m in revenues from UEFA for being beaten Europa QFs.

For the CL adventure, THFC got 40m odd Euros.
And that was 4 years ago (it ain't flatlined has it) .

Levy is obssessed with top 4 kerching £ signs. Hence why he will sack managers till they achieve it.
