Has Flannagan got a chance of playing?
Also Blackburn have several injuries, Jason King (that his name) the lad who tore Stoke apart, he's out and looks like Gestede is too which will be a big bonus for us.
Yeah, Balotelli the game changer!
Josh King.
Yeah I know they are missing a lot of players but it won't be easy. They will fight for everything.
Not sure on Flanagan.
He is training but having been out for this long I would have thought he will play 1 or 2 21's games before being considered for the first team.
Flanagan probably won't play until next season, he'll be very rusty having been out so long (as we've seen with Sturridge and Kelly before he left).
Is drop Allen, put Coutinho deeper into his spot, and Sterling at 10. Only question is who plays up top with Sturridge - would probably go for Balotelli for now and try Ibe when he's back
Mignolet
Manquillo
Sakho
Lovren
Flanagan
Lucas
Henderson
Coutinho
Sterling
Balotelli
Borini
Diamond. Borini to work hard and pull defenders either side to create space for Mario.
Coutinho in a central midfield role similar to City at home last season. Sterling at the tip of the diamond where he can run at the defence in the whole and go either left or right.
Moreno, Markovic and Allen don't deserve to retain their spots; Johnson is a myth. Allen especially has been disgustingly average in the past 2 games - irregardless of his form in the 3 prior to that
Yeah, I'd go with the team in the OP. Now is the perfect time to try drop the three and the back and see if we can move forward.
It's a shame we don't have reliable left back cover because Moreno needs to be put down for the season.
I'd still play 3 at back. Too risky to change formation for what is now our biggest game.
I'm with Macca.....
Bring in the Borini.
