I'd heard on the grapevine that Salerno was on his way a couple of weeks ago. Given that scenario I suspect he was ideal to deliver the message to Thompson.

There's a lot of nonsense on here at the moment but the notion that Thompson said something untoward to Salerno which resulted in his suspension doesn't quite ring true.
