We've completely lost the plot and a winning mentality. We've lost two games on TV 0-3, it seems a long time ago that we were playing good football with flair. You're quite right Thorney, we badly need to pick it up and recover some form if we're to have any chance in the play offs (which are not yet a certainty).
We're due a better performance but you can't just pick things up in football. I think we might just graft a point but a Posh win wouldn't surprise me in the least.
I hope it's a good game for the fans too.
I'm sure that you'll get that play-off place Don, and return to winning ways before then.
A good game will satisfy both sets of fans - the home fans seeking an improvement in their side's play and the loyal and noisy away fans still holding a glimmer of hope in their hearts.
Posh & Town are destined to play each other in a season. We must either go up together or go down together. Neither will happen this year.
Draw, probably. Last chance saloon for Posh and us this weekend. We both really have to win. I'll go for a nervy 2-1 win to keep the faint hope alive.
In other news around 60 of us are doing a charity walk from Oakwell to Valley Parade before our game on Sat 25th April in remembrance of the 56 Football fans who lost their lives.
There are 2 charities we are walking for, Jaxons Gift in Barnsley that supports families in our region impacted by the death of a young child.
And Bradford plastic surgery and burns research unit. If admin are ok with it, I will post links to the just giving pages later.
Cheers.
That's great, Snapski, both excellent causes.
Excellent causes Snapski, great gesture.
I don't want rub it in, Don, but c'mon the Posh!
A result reflective of our season really - just not good enough (at scoring). A shame, because the other results went our way if we'd managed a win.
Good luck to Swindon for the end of the season.
You came to play and there wasn't a lot in it. Maddison missed a good chance for you and Williams for us. He also contrived to miss a (soft) penalty, his record from the spot is poor. It was an important win for us to stop the rot and we now need only 2 points from 6 games for a play off place. We should get that but I'm never happy until things are mathematically certain, and even then I'm nervous!
Maddison should have scored, but hopefully, Don, this result will have set you back to winning ways.
Enjoy the play-offs!
Thanks Thorney, they're always a lottery but I'm not complaining.
I reckon that Posh & Town will be playing each other next season. 2 good games to look forward to. Unlike some others.
