I was there when Trevor Francis scored 2 on his debut away at Stoke,I thought I'd witnessed God
I hadnt it materialised
I was there when the kerb crawling cockbadger ran across the hallowed maine rd turf in his awful hush puppies after Luton had relegated us
Worst day of my life at the time
I was also there when the Argie t wat waltzed through our defence to win the cup for Spurs
Having been told we couldn't miss school, being photographed on the early edition of the Manchester Evening News getting on the train to London wasn't in hindsight my finest hour
Strapped 20 times by the filthy rag headmaster in front of the school in assembly on the monday morning following
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was Fred Talbot your Headmaster?
Was also at Wembley in '85 when Northern Ireland earned a point to qualify for Mexico '86. Aye my first ever hamburger too.
Sing us that song again Belmonty?
Have I been drunkenly serenading 606 again?
Ages ago on NFL board. It was magnificent.
Oh FFS. No odea. Drink must've been taken!
Haha good lad. It was the Healy song that had no sense of lyrics or tune

God that ones awful! No idea why I would be blabbering that on an NFL thread
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed
The little lord Jesus lay down his sweet head
The stars in The bright sky looked down where
Healy, Healy, Healy
Detested Gordon Hill
****
Probably because he ran rings round Paul Power every derby.

won't be long before you'll have come full circle...
First game at OT 1952 v Newcastle. Remember going in neighbours sidecar, smell of wet wool and woodbines, hardly anything about the game.
England won WC on my 21st birthday.
Was at wembley when we won european cup.
Visited every first division ground in the 60s
Never seen us abroad
