Martin needs to be restored to his proper home. Not saying Bent is bad but there is a time and a place for everything. If Rawson has been recalled he is playing Tuesday

I wonder if Albentosa picked up a knock or if Whitbread is out for another season, maybe they needed cover in the U21 with Shaun Barker being recalled to the first team squad

Keogh is not only our best defender at the moment, he's also passing the ball from the back better than any of the others.

Hmm perhaps he just recalled due to Shotton being sidelined indefinitely? I still expect to see Zak for Warnock with Forsyth shifting to LB.

I'm not an anti-Keogh-er and have never thought about dropping him till now, just trying to balance the team out.

IMO Fozzy would play better at RB than Keogh, and think Keogh playing there invites full backs onto us. Maye they've tried Fozzy there and he was gash.

I do think Warnock will come good, Whitbread looked the most assured in that centre left back position since Bucko got injured, granted it was a cameo and the surprise element of actually seeing him in the flesh might be clouding our judgment.

That would leave Albentosa or Keogh for the right CB position. Whilst, Albentosa plays the ball out of defence like your typical uncultured Spaniard to me he is defending well and making less punishable mistakes. There's hardly owt in it though between the two of them. If Keogh could play left CB well then I'd have him and Albert there. Albert does seem a bit out of place on the left CB shift though.

Seems like he was recalled on Thursday too so would have been pre today's exhibition match.

Keogh IS our best defender by far. Keogh for some reason had been made a scapegoat this season. He makes mistakes but compared to the rest it's been minimal. As I wanted to say to the guy behind me when he tried to blame Keogh for watfords first goal last week (and anything he does) There is no I in team but there is one in 'thick c>nt'

So with the fit players we currently have what would people's defence look like then?

My best one that I can think of at the moment:

Hendrick.....Albert.....Whitbread......Warnock

Hendrick we need in CM though so that leaves us with

............................Grant..............................
Fozzy........Albert........Whitbread....Warnock

If Keogh can play left CB well then I'd try him out there, I assume there's a reason he hasn't which is why I put Zak there. Also, not much between Keogh and Albert.

Surely one of Fozzy or Warnock could do a shift at Right Back?

Pablo I think Keogh has become a scape goat with some because he tries TOO hard at times & doesn't take the easy option of hiding when the going's tough.

When choosing our defrnce, Keogh should be (and is it would seem) #1 pick and we go from there... thank goodness some other people see it too.
