So, no pressure on Rodgers then?
Those stats on the previous managers seem damning.
Souness inherited a League winning team, and the FA Cup win was only a season later vs 2nd tier opposition.
Evans had a group of players (the Spice Boys) who despite their early promise failed to deliver on their full potential at Liverpool. The League Cup win of '95 was scant consolation.
Can't argue against the records of Houllier and Rafa.
Under Rodgers when it has come to the big crucial cup games we have ended 2nd best. That's a bad habit to have which needs to be addressed tomorrow but the same question will then be asked in final should we make it.
yeh, some real valid points there, the thing thats slightly different form me is the great style of football if we can get that consistant, iam sure it will bring a throphy or two.
Dalglish won one in his first full season.

He did better - won the double.
Is Skterl back for this game? You guys will need him against Benteke who seems to have rediscover his form.
As for Rodgers, I think the over achievement of last season have raised expectations unfortunately so as the OP said, if failed to deliver either trophy or 4th spot he might not last long.

It's true.
I think Bats is referring to Kenny's return, forgetting that he was Liverpool manager before.

silly comment to make, but what do you expect from a ManU supporter, I hope the game with Chelsea is a good game but with LVG in charge I have my doubts.
Villa looked woeful against us
I can't see Liverpool having any difficulty winning this comfortably
Go away Juan.
This isn't on your board.
And this actually isn't on your board.

Rodgers biggest games were the games v Chelsea in the league cup semi.
Those would have presented the best chance to win a trophy against a poorer team than Arsenal.
This however is Rodgers' biggest occasion - a Wembley semi final, which could then lead to his biggest game ever.

So we are more "away" than Villa are.. but being away away, a double negative meaning we are at home?
