Don`t you know?
What an endearing term to use in order to describe someone who dares to have an opinion of their own.
No change there then!
We win a few games at the end of the season. Might be good enough to keep some people happy. How anyone can honestly be happy with this season is beyond me.
I am old school and will always advocate a 1-0 win playing not so good than losing 1-0 playing pretty pretty stuff. That today just goes to show that RM still refuses to accept that possession football is best played in the opposition half putting them under pressure instead of this stubborn insistence that you can not over pass a football. We had wins and a draw taking the game to the opposition and funny enough the possession stats were about equal, today we have mega possession but look where it is. And just in case Arouna kicks off again, I sit in Gladwys.
That was a pïss poor game today,I'm hoping that we give Utd a game next week. The fact we've got nowt to play for maybe in our favour. Sides with nothing to lose can play without fear. I'd drop Koné and play lakaku and Naismth from the off a but a youth on the bench.
Watching the game as the Cameras see it at the moment, when the ball is put forward we are a completely different side, positive, skillful. But then you can see Martinez discipline kicking in, it is this that keeps two of the best attacking full backs in the Premiership feeding on scraps round a bout the half way line.
When I am wrong I am wrong and have to admit that having watched the game back this morning (couple of sherbets to many last night), I have to admit that even though we only won 1-0 Phil Neville is right in saying that Martinez has in the last couple of games sent Everton out in a formation flexible enough (with Lennon) to give us space in dangerous areas all over the pitch. Actually think that formation with Moralles and Lennon on the flanks was a good one. Still not prepared to give Roberto any slack because I think he will revert to type but we will see.
We have also stopped playing out from the back as much which is where we were getting caught. Nothing wrong with an accurate hoof once in a while!
You have to separate this run from the season as a whole, we are getting into a good run of results and generally playing some good stuff. Yesterday we were a few better decisions in the final 3rd of the pitch away from issuing a hiding I thought. And in my opinion a lot of this is due in no small measure to Lennon, he has the composure and ability that Martinez will want but he also looks to press forward when he is in possession which I feel we weren't doing earlier this year to our detriment.
If you take this season as a whole and we keep pushing on now and finish say 10th then for me it is still a disappointing season given what went before. I still want RM as manager but he needs to admit when players aren't in form, I would hope Kone and Alcaraz are moved on and Barry and Osman are thanked for their good service and told they're not likely to be used anywhere near as much as this season. I think his stubborn insistence of some players walking back into the team or staying in the team has hampered us this year. If Gibson starts yesterday and Lukaku comes on earlier for Kone and not Mirallas then that Burnley hiding is on.
Playing Barkley centrally behind the striker yesterday was a good start hopefully in seeing that you need to change things, I hope some more 'revelations' are made. I also hope the clubs makes a real effort to keep Lennon permanently and keep Kev M sweet.
On a completely unrelated note, Ashley Barnes is possibly the stupidest professional footballer I've ever seen. Two massively unnecessary tackles, pointlessly made that were absolute stonewall yellows.....
What's with all the Barca players we have been linked with!?
Phew, those three points were much needed......
We did enough to win, could and should have had more, very impressed again with Lennon and his link up play with Coleman. Wasn't keen on him at first but he has won me over. Shame if Martinez is forced out as he wont be in another managers plans

Must admit Lennon has impressed since he joined on loan. My biggest worry is that he is trying harder for a full contract. Plus who would know which players would and would not be in any hypothetical new managers plans? Maybe this new manager would think players like alceraz, kone or Mcgready are good enough to play for Everton!
I'm glad Lennon is doing well, one of my favourite Spurs players of the last decade.
He's not appreciated by many at ours nowadays, not glory enough for them. I'd have him back in a heartbeat myself.
If it's him playing for a contract that is your main concern - stop worrying. He is one of the most hardworking and selfless players about. What you see now is what you get all the time.
I'm surprised and please with his displays.
If the gossip is correct some money and Lennon will see Mirallas move to WHL. I you like hard working players then he won't be your cup of tea. If what we are seeing is Lennon's normal form then I would take that deal in an instant
If the reports are true, why are we humming and harring over £6m? He's a bargain at that price. Christ we paid the for an injured Koné.
Who know what deals have been done or are being talked about, outside of the transfer window you don't hear of many done deals. If it's £6m or Mirallas and money to us I would be happy. Kev said this weekend that he is happy here, but so would I be earning £60k a week and performing for just 10-12 games a season.
Kone did his knee in pre season. If we had just waited a few months.
I hear Lennon had another impressive game yesterday, is that true?
I'll be very disappointed to see him leave, he's a real asset. I'd be very surprised if Villa and Sherwood aren't in for him too

He appears to have settled in quite well and seems happy with his football ( although you wouldn't guess that looking at his face, he hardly cracks a smile ). So I would hope if we wanted him he would be willing to sign but who really knows when it comes to professional footballers
