Gerrard isn't doing much. He's lost the ability to get to the loose ball first.

In fairness, nor is anyone else. makes me laugh how gerrard is the one to get stick, despite many deem him surplus to requirements now.

It's just obvious compared to how he used to be in there. I'm not saying he's surplus to requirements or even that it's not understandable. It's just a statement of fact, and that's a pretty critical area as far as attacking goes to turn nothing into something.
Markovic has done ok going forward, we are too exposed down our right side though.
Look at our bench for attacking options it doesn't fill you with confidence. Wouldn't trust Balotelli in such a big game.
Johnson will replace Markovic and will improve the team
You should get Sturridge on, Sterling doesn't look good up front
I would BR to bring on Johnson for Gerrard and play Markovic further forward.

Ami missing something? Villa have had how many shots at our goal? Its 1-1 and we havent played great yet we have hardly been under any pressure.
Its like villa are playing as well as they can yet we have 2 to 3 more gears to go through.

Our squad depth is poor for this game.
No Lallana, Sturridge, Ibe and Lucas has really left us bare.
I would rather we had a couple of the kids on the bench to be honest.

We were bossing things just before we conceded, and a couple of over hit passes stopped the second coming, that was the most frustrating thing.

Balotelli on his own up front is a terrible idea.
What a dire game. Hardly anyone playing well. I was expecting a stale game today. Villa seem more up for it and that is unacceptable. We need to get in this more.
Balo holds the ball up well and outmuscles defenders. we're too lightwieght up top without studge.
Am I the only one who still thinks we will win? Apart from G_B obviously!

That's the problem the past few appearances he's made, spends too much time out muscling and not enough time playing.
we should win Grizzly. We haven't got going yet, scored one and other than the one goal Villa haven't had any clear chances.
