He's ninth.

I honestly believe they have already made contact with Klopp's representatives with a view to offering him the managers job at the club.

What makes you believe that?

Klopp is a class above Rodgers

What makes you think our owners have been in touch with Klopp? I look forward to you backing up this ridiculous conspiracy theory....

We wouldnt get him....simple as....

Clearout needed...sell before we buy as our squads massive..and we need proper firepower....studge injured , lambert not top 4 ..and borini overlooked....

Klopp would be a disaster signing, not for Liverpool....... But for Arsenal and the rest as he is a great manager

I think City will move for Klopp

To be honest he would be taking a backward step for his career. Granted he's had a poor year but his current side has consistently qualified for the champions league where as Liverpool with exception to last year have no real pedigree in qualifying for the champions league in recent history.

Would be a great signing for Liverpool. Rodgers is doing a good job though

There is more of a chance that Moyes would be our manager than Klopp

I've already mentioned Moyes but the idea was pooh-poohed, there will be no danger of you going down with Moyes in charge.

Conspiracy theory it is term, ridiculous it isn't.

Klopp has publicly stated recently he will be leaving BVB presumably to seek a new challenge.
He spoke of his admiration for the English game, albeit we've seen and heard it before.
He will be leaving a club which in many ways mirrors the heart and soul of our own, the man himself appears to be the kind to want to be emotionally in tune with the fans and where more suitable a place than L4.

Many on here will think it's a non starter, he will never come to LFC, step down blah, blah ...

He may well not but if he thinks about it for a minute, he just might.

First manager since before Shankly to not win a trophy in his first 3 seasons (those who got that long of course).

Not a good stat.

He is record breaker.

Some good, some bad.

He hasn't done dull that's for sure.

Even Souness had won 's trophy

Remember Klopp being asked a couple of years ago how his English was and he half-jokingly said it was good but he might struggle with the different accents like Liverpool and Manchester. We ended up with Moyes.
Despite what the snipers say Liverpool is a step up globally football wise for him. Manchester City are not.
Can't work out the real fans feelings for Rodgers, messianic one minute, failure the next.

Really good young manager he is but our American owners aren't prepared to wait I don't feel.

Don't know why people think we can't attract Klopp.

What other jobs might be out there?

All the media are reporting that City are not looking at him.

He had said he would work in England as he couldn't work somewhere he doesn't speak the lingo and German is the only other language.

There is no other German club he would go to as Bayern don't want him.

That leaves England.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd all have managers that are not going anywhere. City seemingly don't want him.

That leaves us.

He won't want to be out of work for ages as that's no good in the manager game.

I could see it happening.

I actually can see Klopp managing Liverpool but at the same time are your board members really going to boot out Brendan.Big decisions after the season for your team.

If you want a manager who leaves you when he messed up badly you should be in for Jürgen Klopp.

Do you really think he is a miracle worker?

As a fan you couldn't help but be impressed with what he achieved last year, he made the club competative for the league.

This year the team have been very good and very bad. And that''s the primary concern, I've no doubt he can get a team firing and playing attractive football. The question is whether he can do it for a sustained period of time, i.e. an entire season.

The answer to what kind of manager he is to most fans is a promising one. His teams play good football and he brings through talent but so far they've always come up a bit short in whatever the aim is. That's the worry.

Have you given up on brendan?
I mean if you were offered Klopp now would you be happy to see brendan go?

posted on 19/4/15

They might not, but they might.

Dalglish won a trophy and got to another final and still got sacked.

We have been poor this season for all but 2 and half months.

Many signings have been poor to average.

No trophies in 3 seasons.

They might think 'lets back him and give him another year, or start of the season'.

Klopp being available might force their hand though. They will tap him first obviously before sacking Rodgers, but if Klopp gives them the nod then...
