I think people are overly critical of his overall contribution. He links up well with the midfield, and even set up Muamba for his goal with a clever pass against QPR. Definately deserves to keep his place, on course to get 38 goals this season.

I ain't having a go at Klasnic & I ain't having a go at Davies..

But they are not a partnership that works.

(Caveat) In my opinion...

I agree with you there mallorca, i think we can play them both (davies and klasnic) against lesser teams but against the top teams one needs to be dropped in favour of an extra midfielder.

Yes, he's our leading scorer, but today he was a disgrace. He wasn't the only one, Kevin Davies wasn't much better, but I was amazed when he was allowed to come out for the second half because his contribution up to then had been nil. He did two things in the second half, he got himself booked and he scored a tap-in. He didn't deserve his goal.

meant to add to that before i posted that i would rather see tuncay/klasnic or Davies/Ngog(if he signs) as i think these 2 partnerships offer the most and i personaly dont think tuncay and davies will compliment each others game in a 4 4 2.

I agree klasnic/Davies works? I feel one of them is out with tuncay coming in. Coyle will have to decide whether overall teamwork presides over goals or not.

Does not work sorry

I don't see how our strikers are going to perform if the midfield is giving away the ball cheaply every time we have it, how does it work?

It is a tricky one on the one hand we have a player who will score goals but contribute little else overall, Then we have another whose goal threat is minimal but creates chances either through flick-ons or general disruption to the oppositions defence and is also our captain.

Then you look at our other options Tunchay has only just joined us and is probably not up to speed just yet, then their is the potential purchase of N'Gog.

I do think that SKD/Klasnic partnership is not the best available and that SKD with N'Gog would be better and Klasnic with either Tunchay or N'Gog would also be preferable and I think who we play should be determined by who we play but if one is really on form then they obviously should stay.

I agree that an extra midfielder for a striker could solve our problems but I don't have the heart to drop either of em!

Hello foreigner. Do I need your permission to post ? So sorry I forgot.

He is a proper striker, a Michael Owen type that all he does is score goals and he contributes virtually nothing else to the team.

3 goals in 3 games is good enough for me.

I reckon, if he stays fit, he will score 20 goals this season.

Why are you looking for trouble?

You shouldn't be on a forum if you start insulting people who dont agree with you.

You're either not a Bolton fan or you have ADHD!!

Reebok, why do you ask that question ? Is it because you think you should, to fit in with others ? Think for yourself.

3 games 3 goals.nuff said.elmander didnt half hold klasnic back last season.

15 goals in 15 starts for Bolton. 37 sub appearances.

He will create chances for himself, but he is the sort of player to be missing for 88 minutes but score, hes a poacher, but his link up play is good, hes a very classy player with good movement and vision.

But we need someone like Tuncay to be up top with him, Tuncay can do all the running and be our creative spark up top, he has the ability and guile to do so, he and klasnic would complement eachother perfectly.

If Klasnic wasn't at the club, we would all be crying out for a player like him. I believe Kevin Davies should be subbed more often now, or maybe start some from the bench. With the team we are building, we are shifting away from players who are needed purely for their aerial threat and to put themselves about. We need players who will create space and pick a pass. Davies just doesn't seem to be on the same wavelength half the time.

Klasnic & Tuncay upfront for me!

Davies and Klasnic are both too static to play together.

Same problem Wheater and Knight have, so they'll never play together, hopefully.

Davies does create space because usuallly two players keep tight to him to give him less to work with, but Klasnic isnt going to exploit that space as he doesnt have pace. N'Gog could exploit it, but then Who is going to score goals?

Petrov and Klasnic have been our best players this season, in three games they have 4 assists and 3 goals between them. They are the focus down the left hand side.

Tuncay in the hole behind Klasnic, doing the running, creating chances and scoring them himself. Perfect combination with Klasnic classy play and strong finishing. Davies can be used as an impact sub when we need a goal late on and he can disrupt there backline. OR if we have a lead, hold up play and switch to a 451. But Coyle knows his career is winding down, as do we, and most probably Davies.
