Kalas is looking a better rb prospect than cb.
Its unlikely we be able to replace J/T and all he gives, but we will maintain our defensive ethos and bring another quality defender to bolster the players we already have
Kalas and Omureo are not good enough
You just refer to them to have some illusion of youth stepping up.
We all know you'll look to buy Varane, don't kid yourself. That will be no English players starting
I can't see us getting Varane unless Real go for Hummel's. They could try Laporte but why Laporte when you have Varane?
It's not so much a cb we will miss with Terry, it's the leader. There's not many players in the world who leads like he does.
We'll bring someone through eventually Pundit. Just by the law of averages.
We're taking Issiah Brown off you next season. You don't like talented English youngsters
He's Prem material
unlucky
Pundit ,obsessing about CFC,
Come out of the closet you fckn bandit
I think due to close relationship between Jose Mourinho and Raphael Varane I am sure that we will sign Varane next season from Real Madrid.Varane is a very good defender and should be starting for Madrid regularly instead of Pepe!
I don't know why people think we'll be able to sign Varane.
He's starting most games for one of the top 3 clubs in the world. Special relationship with Jose or not, it's an absolute fantasy to expect him to walk away from that.
There'd need to be an almighty period of instability (Carlo sacking) for him to even consider leaving. And even if he wants to - what makes you think Real will sell? With two ageing CBs, Varane is the future of their defence. He's more than likely going to cost an arm and a leg to bring to CFC (35-45mil). It's just not worth it.
The youth bias does make me laugh, just because they've won the youth cup or youth player of the year doesn't mean they'll make that step up.
People don't appreciate or realise just how big the step up from youth to top draw title challengers champions league material it is.
If kalas or Christensen were good enough then they'd get their chance more however I am yet to see the "spark" in them.
I agree 100% that we need to bring someone in to replace Terry but he is simply irreplaceable, the man is pure Chelsea FC and no big name 100million player or youth product will be half as good as Terry has ever been...... But let's wait and see!
I think us getting Varanne this summer is probably the worst kept secret in football. Jose will definitely try his hardest to sign the player.
Of course it could fall through but if it does we'll go for someone like Godin instead.

Ronny agreed, we'll never be able to replace JT as such, he's a one off. His commitment to the club and the cause can't be replaced I agree.
All we can do is try to bring in the best calibre players that we can once the legends like JT move on. Not much else you can do.
Chances are they won't have a British passport, despite the best young generation of England players in 30 years.
All you need for Wolves is Soap and Water
Madrid won't sell Varane unless he forces a movie. And I don't think he has enough incentive to force a move.
Cahill must never be our most senior/most used CB.
Hi branislavovic. You seem new-ish. Welcome
soccer?lol.
The resurgence of Chelsea the last couple of years apart from Mourinho is the plain fact that despite the previous managers trying to oust him John Terry is simply the rock on which all other foundations can flourish and with him fit he can play for another couple of years easily. After that who knows but, until then even the haters need to doff their caps.
