Context is always very relevant, when football fans are chanting it and targeting to the black players on the pitch it is racist. When a naturalist is using it to try and become more accepted in a community of wild apes it is not.

The context with all of this is bad and Kovalev should have known better. Don't know the guy so can't say what he actually feels but either way was a really stupid thing to do.

Just as someone who was doing the same to George Bush, it wasn't a swipe to all white people.

As I said, look it up, have a read about racist connotations etc. If you call one person a N, your still using a racist slur even if it's aimed at one person.
