So there'll be more messing about with the already poor defence, with O'Dea shifting to LB and probably Bromby at CB if fit. Not a fan of playing 4 natural CB's but i suppose when you've got a tight budget there's no room for decent squad players.

Why not use Parker or Bessone?

Both are natural LBs and both are gonna be eager to prove themselves.

Last season, Grayson with the objective of survival in mind went for quantity over quality with players coming in who had some champ experience. Bessone, collins, bruce and connolly all came in and we over achieved. Collins was replaced by ob and lets face it you're probably better than collins so that gave us a half hearted chance to achieve promotion even though ob is hardly one of the best in the lge. Now we are stuck with these poor players as back up and we prefer a loanee O'Dea than the likes of these challenging the squad. If we wanted to show intent for promotion the defence needed a complete overhaul but we are unable to detonate the bomb in the transfer market to allow the explosion of activity because Ken's got all our money.

That does not say anything at all there.

I was talking about o'brien. It was sg choice to sign and pay for him. Yet I could see last season he was never going be any good with him being 32 as well. Yet sg gave him 2 year deal. Do you not understand that stops players coming in?

There was no need to stick with them players at all why no offload them in the summer and get them off the wage boll ( one the biggest in the league by the way)

Grayson has had 2 years to sort the back 4 out and has never done it right.

Probably because no club would take them. Anyway you do realise replacing poor players with better quality costs money (Bates' money to be precise). It's a very good job the youth have developed well, otherwise we really would be struggling. Will any deals be completed in the next few days or will any class long term loans come in (not the shiite we usually end up with, excluding a few that work out/marginally improve us)
