But the invincibles record is not about record points haul it's about going up and down the country for 10 months and not lose a single game. Some will say it is doable if you set out to draw all your games but we all know that's easier said than done, and besides Wenger hardly sets his teams to draw all the time, certainly not over the course of a season.

For me what makes the invincibles special is not about only going unbeaten it's the level of consistency over a long period. Same thing applies to the 49 games unbeaten.

All good teams, be it Real Madrid this season, barca or bayern have dips in a season, it's inevitable, too many games and it is hard for teams to maintain a certain level of consistency hence a few defeats come here & there.

For a team to manage those dips and remain u defeated is remarkable.

Probably those 12 draws are indicative of when Arsenal had dips in their season.

You never watched the invisibles play. I always thought the "Chelsea fans beleive football started in 2004" thing was a joke but comments like this make me think it might be true

Big club arsenal haven't won the league going on 11 years now.

Aren't your lot on 65 at the moment. With three shots on target in the last 3 games I really doubt you will get to that 73!

I'm sure if you check stats for chances created the invincibles were comfortably better than this current chelsea side.

Anyway you maybe to young to remember but the invincibles were predominantly a counter attacking team, of the better variety than Jose's side.

Most games were settled in the first half & they would defend & control possession for the rest of the game.

And big club Chelsea didn't win the league for 50.

would you rather win 6 games and draw 4 out of your next 10 league games or win 8 and lose 2

Exactly but as Arsenal fans are convinced Chelsea are antifootball and only know how to defend well you wouldn't expect us only to be 6 goals behind your super team in with 6 games still to play. You were also invincible in an era when there was a huge difference in the standard between the top and the bottom teams which is now not so. Pretty pointless record to have id say.

why does it upset people that we went unbeaten for an entire prem season?
Records are there to be broken, and 1 day a team will equal it with better win/draw ratio but until then you have to admit it was a wonderful achievement

We are a big club now though, Wish I could say the same for Arsenal.

Arsenal for the treble... 1. FA Cup 2. finishing above 4th 3. Beating chelsea trophy.

If u honestly believe that Arsene would actually set his team up to play negative football aka then theres no hope for you

And even if we did park the bus, we went unbeaten doing it unlike some teams

Who cares about the Invincibles, a superior team came along only 1 year later.

Our team was better but I feel if we went a season unbeaten then we would not get the praise arsenals team did. It would be brushed under the carpet

see the stats for that game and say that Chelsea lost by setting out to defend our only other defeat was 5-3 against spurs hardly defensive play there either

The most important factor of attacking football is goals. The 2010 Chelsea team scored a record 103 goals

I am not blind to some of Wengers faults, but I think people have to remember what Chelsea needed to do with Abramovich to overtake Arsenal.

I have just debated this number of goals point helsewhere and pointed out George Graham's side in 89 scored more to win the league than Wenger's in 98. Wenger 's side was a better watch. Goals scored on their own do not always mean a team are great to watch. They just might be better than the rest. Why do some Chelsea fans prefer the 2005 side to the 2010 for entertainment.

Gunner, Roman Abramovich has never won a game for CFC , they are won the pitch by the players and guided by the manager, what is so difficult accept
