Amazing turnaround for the Foxes - I could never have predicted it. Your team certainly has the momentum to keep going until survival. It'll be interesting to see which sides get sucked into the bottom three.

At the final stages of this fight for survival -you are right - momentum is hugely important -which we have -but also players of real bravery who can stare down the barrel. Like yesterday when performance was secondary to getting the result

In this we have the right men in key positions- add to Schmeichel -who is totally on a mission to survival- the likes of Huth and Wasilewski cold eyed but also talented defenders supporting Morgan who although often struggling with pace of Premiership lacks nothing in commitment. I have to again question why Wasilewski was ever dropped.

Although certain types of games - like yesterday can pass him by - Cambiasso is influential in his professional assessments of situations and as he stated recently he has adjusted to the pace now which he struggled with in first half season.

Vardy -fast becoming a legend- always gives 100% and I am impressed with the graft put in by Ulloa in providing a target for balls cleared under pressure and always challenging - unglamorous and often unrewarded.

Now Albrighton has finally been brought to the party -it provides such an important aspect to our game -

It would be good to see Nugent and Schlupp back fit again but I think we have a substantial squad to supplement those mentioned above -sufficient to reach the 36 points I forecast should be enough.. What we get from Chelsea - hopefully a point - can be treated as bonus with massive opportunity to achieve a win against Newcastle - a team in disarray and still without Sissoko (I think).

can be that the Sunderland game will be the key for us .......... but that's still in the future . The next game is still our focus

The fire is still burning dangerously but the firefighters seem to be getting control.

Again Nev - the crowd at King Power will be enormously influential ............ we have part to play . and so clappers continue -if that's what it takes

Its my view Sheriff that there is nothing better than finally clinching title in a home match- Bank Holiday weekend against Palace seems perfect......... so give us a break - anyway travelling to Leicester next season instead of bleak trips to Sunderland or Hull must be preferred......

Yes indeed...right on all counts, no charity in the Prem though

I guess if we'd played you a month ago when we were in the Cap Cap final, we'd have seen you off easily...but a month is a long time in football, can't fault your current run

The movement of the Chelsea match originally came at a good time for us - we were playing a lot of top teams at the time and would have had Chelsea and Man City back to back. The fact that we have an extra home game when we're fighting for anything we can get makes it potentially a better time to play them.

There are some major caveats though: Chelsea are easily the best team in the league and deserve to be walking it. We're also likely to play straight into their hands as they sit back and pick us off either from a defensive mistake or on the counter. It is also arguably an unwelcome distraction before a big, winnable home game against Newcastle next Saturday.

Even so, a point is a possibility and would probably go down like a win among the home support. I just hope that Chelsea hold up their end of the bargain when our primary relegation rivals Sunderland go the Bridge on the last day of the season.

I really hope Schlupp isn't out for very long. We've now found a formation that can win us a game but he is critical to it for me.

Konch just isn't up to the physical demands of a wing back. That's was why it was a good move to bolster the midfield with DD yesterday.

But if Schlupp remains out, I'd go back to 4-5-1 for Chelsea as I just think we'll be picked of on the break otherwise.

Get Schlupp back for the massive games against Newcastle and Sunderland.

If Schlupp is still out, I'd be tempted to play De Laet at left back just so we have a bit of energy an pace.

MerseysideFox in "I'd play De Laet" shocker...

I know Dunge, I know. So it just shows how much I don't think Simpson or Konch are up to that role and players like Mahrez and Knocky just don't have the defensive ability to do it.

Let's just hope Schlupp is back quickly...

Konch, even by his own average standards was poor yesterday. The penalty was another howler from him and it could have cost us the game - giving Burnley confidence had Taylor not slipped on the run up to take the pen.

I was worried about Schlupp defensive liabilities and rightly so, but Konch always has the potential to make an absolute howler at any given moment. Equally at times he can look very assured and his positioning is better than Schlupps.

I wish we'd signed a really quality LB - not easy to find though

Must admit I winced when I saw Konchesky was playing, absolute liability.

Anyone know what's up with Schlupp?

posted on 26/4/15

Got a knock - no idea if he will be back for Wed. Nuge doubtful, Chris Wood has been recalled

What about Simpson as LB for now? Do not like Schlupp there but love his pace going forward.Need to sign a real one though....

Regardless of what division we're in next year a LB needs to be No1 priority (as most said last year, and year before that!)

BS was the peno that bad i looked on the highlights player on his blind side sticks his foot out as the player arrives the guy cliped it and weny down it was not like he cut in half or did a Schlupp and shoved him in the back?

Hi nev, yeah it was a shocker from Konch. Kasper made a save and the ball rebounded to him in the box. He took a touch facing goal with a Burnley player behind him. He then took another touch rather than just clearing the ball and it was cleanly nicked off him the Burnley attacker.

He then panicked and stuck out a foot bringing down the player, stonewall penalty and a very poor moment for him.

posted on 28/4/15

Ouch BS when you are defender or a keeper your mistakes hurt more than when you are up front and midfield.

Great saves from Kaspar but still palming the ball back into danger but before anyone says anything he got us the three points.

posted on 28/4/15

It's lack of awareness, Nev. Taylor was coming in behind him; Cambiasso saw it and tried to warn him, but Konchesky still dithered. I appreicate that you feel Konchesky gets too much stick and I agree with you, but this was a poor mistake that could have cost us a massive victory, and it came about not through lack of skill but lack of concentration.

For me, this was a worse and more frustrating mistake that Schlupp's jumping underneath the ball against West Ham. Luckily, neither mistake cost us. I hope you're joking about Kasper palming the ball back into danger by the way; he kept it out and pushed it away from danger, toward Leicester players. Then Konchesky messed it up. That doesn't mean that he's a terrible player or should never play again, or any of that sensationalist guff that goes around the internet. But it is fair criticism to say that it was a very poor mistake that could have cost us very dearly.

posted on 28/4/15

It was incredibly poor play which nearly cost us the game. To be fair, it's not surprising he looked off the pace as he hasn't been playing recently. It was a bad moment though.

I came away on Saturday thinking we need a new left back. Not because I believe Konch has been terrible all season - he hasn't - but in no universe can he fit in as a wing back, and three at the back looks like our best formation for the future.

posted on 28/4/15

When the keeper has just made a save and is grounded/recovering, you clear the lines! This has nothing to do with match fitness or even concentration. You just do your job, no one cares if you sky it for a throw in.If we would of lost that game 1-0 to that penalty? Simpson, if Jeffery is still injured please.

If we win the thing by Saturday...we'll probably put our FA Youth cup winning team out against Liverpool...
