it's sad to say all clubs have there fair share. That's why I think a minutes applause is a better idea, as you can't hear the blurts that want to spoil it and drag the name of the club they support into the gutter

No, a minutes silence was the right idea. We shouldn't change traditions to suit idiots. They should be identified and banned from future games. It sounded like quite a lot of United fans too... Full on chants rather than a couple of idiots jeering. They're a disgrace.

I understand your reasoning for maintaining the minutes silence. I just feel the applause not only stops the situation happening but applause is a good way if celebrating life

To be fair to the mancs it wasn't fans who were in their seats but the few who were still downstairs who were shouting. Every club has a few of these idiots.

I though that myself at first but from were I was sat it seemed like all the fans were at their seats.

For a moment I thought you were talking about the result MrR.

Yes, it is not nice when a minutes silence for Bradford/former Chairman is disrespected.

For people who have passed and given so much joy to people then applause is my preferred method. But the tragic loss of life at Bradford deserves silence.

As many have said, lots of clubs have the idiot minority. I remember away at Sunderland last year and how some of our fans acted

It could quite easily have been coming from the bars below. If the fans below are unaware what's happening on the pitch its a bit unfair to be calling them c unts to be honest
There is never an announcement by the bars when there is a minutes silence and there really should be

Maybe he though he would get away with it? Possibly people outside the city ( non Everton & liverpool fans) don't realise it not a only a LFC tragedy but effects the city as a whole Blues & reds. Glad he got kicked out

Glad to read that. No place for that anywhere, especially in our City

To be fair to the Man Utd fans as soon as any singing started they shushed them as much as possible and certainly booed their own fans roundly when the minute finished.
