and we thought we had it bad with Torres, Ba and Eto'o, that's a dream trio compared to that lineup

It isn't a surprise that Liverpool's strike force has been the primary reason for their failure this term.
What should concern the like of Arsenal and utd more is that despite a disaster of a season with their strikers they are still only 9 points off second.
Just a fit Sturridge for an extra 15 games this season would probably have bridged that 9 point gap.

It's a false stat baring in mind Sterling has played the most out of the 4 specialist strikers as a striker.

Strange logic. For me we simply need a reliable striker to score twenty goals, that can come even if Sturridge gets back to his normal amount of games a season. It's very clear where we've struggled and that's up front scoring goals as the stats in the OP show. If we'd had 20 goals from Sturridge being fit, we'd be at least in the top four.

Looking at Rodgers history of buying strikers that may well be more difficult than you think. Lambert, Borini, Aspas, Balotelli all scored goals at other clubs.......
