that's a bit of a dumb comparison to make, it's not like Maury doesn't play with the players that were there before he came to Chelsea
Just shows how smart Jose has been in the transfer market. From a team that were fighting for a top 4 position for a few years are now challenging for the title (and gonna win it) because of his managerial skills. Whilst Wenger does usual which is finish top 4.
Another rubbish article (inspired by jealousy, no doubt) trying to argue that money is the only thing that has brought and brings Mourinho his club success.
In all fairness with FFP and Chelsea current financial model I think Chelsea's are now completely sustainable to stay right at the top of the food chain regardless of any financial input from their owner. Also if they redevelop the bridge or move to a new stadium which is likely over the next ten years this will provide a bigger revenue.
So to say that if Roman Abramovich got bored Chelsea would no longer be competitive is rediculas, also do you not think that an alternative owner would not want to continue the success?
Either way I can't see it happening, Roman Abramovich seems to still Have a real passion for Chelsea which can be seen as he celebrates his teams performance like any real fan would, much unlike the owners at Arsenal, Liverpool and United who treat there clubs as business venture.

You give chelsea fans too much credit because they can hardly reason. It's like how they latched on to the wage reports released earlier in the season as if chelsea is suddenly more financially prudent than Arsenal.
They still owe Roman a billion pounds & don't even look close to returning it. We have spent less in that time, built a stadium, almost finished paying back the Loan & they come here & tell us of the 6 trophies they have won in that period.

As has been well documented we will win the title having made a profit on transfers this season.
We have fully complied with FFP making profits in 2 of the last 3 seasons. So that is before the massive increase in TV revenue and our new sponsorship deal which is far bigger than Arsenals.
All this talk of buying success sounds hollow now because it is. RA puts nothing in anymore. If you sleep better with your denial then bully for you but articles like this prove otherwise.
It helps the Gooners sleep easier at night to think that the only reason for Chelsea's success is all down to money; conveniently forgetting how at other times, they've enjoyed taunting Chelsea fans over expensive players that have flopped at SB.
The "flops" alone are proof that you can't just throw money at players and expect success.
You still need a guy who can make it all work. A manager who can put together a team and make it challenge for success, sometimes by the power of his will alone when injuries and poor form cause issues. Rest assured, Mourinho is that man. He proved at Porto he can build a successful team without massive financial resources.
If the Arsenal fans are truly happy with one FA cup in a decade, despite Wenger having finally starting to splash out big money, and the fans paying the highest ticket prices in Europe, then good luck to them
