so in my moments of wishful thinking i do picture klopp at united.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
we fack up finishing 4th klopp coming just might happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
there were plenty of fans 2 months ago who wanted lvg to stay even if united finished below 4th, but if they were to mess it up from here i can't believe lvg would have a single fan behind him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
especially if we lose 4th place to liverpool
To be honest, if the unthinkable happens, I'd be more fecked off with the players.
Some of them genuinely look like they think they've done enough and their work has been done.
It would rank alongside the disappointment of throwing away an 8 point lead and gifting Man City the title like in 2011/12.
I have been behind LvG all season because I think he is a born winner. The difference between him and Moyes is like comparing Nike to Gola.
I ultimately think we will scrape top 4 by the skin of our teeth and these past few games will serve as an indicator to LvG what we need to change going forward, what players he keeps and who can leave.
For me, at least it has shown that we can't persist with Fellaini and Young as regulars, as admirable they have been in improving and effort, they come up short when it comes to being the required quality of a key starter.
I wouldn't want young n fellaini in my 5 aside team.
Funny that Young was our best player today.
Not saying we have to build United around him and Fellaini forever. But it's amazing how other players escape criticism on here after defeat.
I thought Smalling was but Young didn't have a bad game.
Surely you'd rather see better players than Young and Fellaini lining up in the 1st team next season Robb?
I would say that Rooney was horrific today, him and Mata were dreadful in my opinion. Herrera as well, a player who normally impresses me gave a wretched performance. Gave the ball away a lot.
Marlo, I like young but I'd replace him with Bale tomorrow if i could.
My point was more about how when we have a bad game the usual suspects get the scapegoating instead of the ones who always escape fan vitriol.
We do need better but based on today we need better than mata, herrera, Rooney, mcnair and Valencia as well as Fellaini and Young.
Absolutely, I don't think anyone bar Smalling can come out of todays game with any credit and I'm not afraid to criticise the players who aren't pulling their weight. I've mentioned that I think many of them are playing like they think the job is done and that's far from the truth.
Young and Fellaini are reliable squad players that you need in my opinion. I know you can't always have a first 11 for every game but I'd like to see a side like this as much as possible next season...
De Gea (fingers crossed)
Clyne Smalling Hummels Shaw
Gundogan Carrick
Mata Rooney Bale
Benteke
