He looks very good but Cahuill has looked better recently as well.

it may take an injury to see him get a decent run in the side.

I hope he doesnt get fed up playing bit parts for the next year or two.

I think time will tell with Zouma. If we buy someone like Varanne or even Godin in this summer then Zouma will have to be very patient over the coming seasons.

Also Cahill still has a lot to offer. People love to criticise him for whatever reason but he's one of the best CB's around in my opinion

Zouma needed to defend now need a defender who can play but isn't a liability like Utds an shambles

Don't see why Varane would keep Zouma out regularly. An experienced CB like Godin yes, but not Varane

If Varane becomes even a slight possibility I can't see Mourinho passing him up. Just as Costa is almost Jose's ideal striker, Varane is his ideal defender - David Luiz with discipline.

I do like Zouma though. Probably our most impressive signing just in front of Costa in terms of what people expected from him. I keep having to remind myself he isn't Essien when I see that no.5 shirt striding back into position
