Sell him to a club that would appreciate him, preferably one with excellent coaches to bring out the best in him,a raw talent waiting to be exploited,he's obviously surplus to requirements at Spurs.
why dont you ask for way too much money for him like you're doing with aaron lennon
I'm not sure if you know this yeahyeah. But we aren't the ones asking for money for Lennon.
How do I know it isnt you Daniel?

Sell him, he could be decent if he plays 30 games a season and get some consistency but he won't do that at Spurs. I have a little sigh when I see his name on the team sheet.
5 - 10 million, and even that would be too much for what he actually contributes!
Bournemouth are going to need some players...

young, attacking, England player?
10mill?
in the current market we could find some jokers to give us 15m minimum I reckon.
maybe even 20
Crouch didn't turn out a bad buy for Stoke.Palacious that's another story.

Hahaha I know what you mean, but he's just a bit rubbish!!
I expect we'd get 15m, but it will be a massive rip off!
i would be inclined to give him another year, but I don't hold out much hope of improvement. he lacks a brain, which is shame as he has many of the raw abilities required to be a dangerous attacker.
as it is he offers virtually nothing at all.

spot on, adds fack all to our team really
Sell him, but I don't think we should pay more than £5m to the buying club.
With Greg Dykes new UKIP-Esque English footballer policies, we possibly can't afford to lose another national.
edin - don't forget we maybe got deli alli and Pritchard to come in next season.. and carroll back from loan??? (or has he been sold)
so should be ok there
100% keep him. He may be a bit inconsistent in terms of having a run of good consecutive performances but he's no worse than Lamela, Chadli, Eriksen or anyone else you care to mention on the consistency chart.
The same as we see since Lennon has gone on loan, all we'll hear after he's gone is that we need a "pacey winger".
He needs to turn his average performances into decent ones more often than he currently does - but definitely one of our better attacking players we have.

the problem with your argument though chicken, is that even though eriksen and chadli have as many poor games as good games, when they have good games they score. what is it 10 goals each this season? must be a few assists too...
lamela, for how poor he has been, also has a couple goals and a fair few assists....
townsend on the other hand, blows hot and cold like the rest, but when hes hot what does he actually produce? what is his end product? very little.
what does he have this season? 1 goal, 1 assist or something dreadful like that?
I am not saying sell him, I am just showing you why your argument is weak this time.
Sell him for £5m and in a bogof deal, throw in Adebayor for nothing. That way the buying club get Ade for only his wages for the next year, about £4m.

Yeah I understand his direct assists are low, along with his goal return - but as I always try to say, the stats charts are just an overview - they don’t tell you the full story, i.e. who started an attack, who took a man out to create space, who took their man on, who was involved in an attack, who wins set-pieces, who tracks back etc. I'm not saying Townsend does all of these things but there is so much more to football than who makes the final pass before a goal is scored, scoring the goal, and getting a clean sheet.
I personally think he offers far more to the "team" than say, Lamela. I'm not anti-Chadli but unless he scores, it’s like playing with 10 men sometimes.
Stats are good because they give us an instant overview of who has done what, but I just think we need to look beyond just this when analysing players. Football is a team game.
I understand what you are saying, and I know stats don't tell the whole story.. but you cannot argue with chadli's 10 goals in the league......
both chadli and eriksen are a complete class above townsend.
townsend does offer us some good things. pace, and an outlet... as well as the ability to shoot with both feet... the problem is that his decision making is absolutely horrible and he kills so many promising attacking moves because of it.
he has a lot of improving to do before he is the quality that we require.
Sell him for anything over £5M. He is woeful.
Back to Lennon though - I like a cheeky monkey but for a 28 year old squad player you're talking 3-4 million tops
alright calm down calm down
if you dont want to pay for him thats fine you wont get him, why all the bawling?
